Updated Rankings following the St. George Tournament (Previous Ranking in Parenthesis)
1. OLOM (2) - The Blue Jays won the St. George Tournament, which had competition from top CSAA teams as well as teams like Dunham, U High, and Runnels. They are a clear cut #1 right now.
2. St. Jude (3) - Second place finish in the St. George Tourney and have notched some wins against other ranked teams.
3. St. Aloysius (1) - Struggling as of late due to some injuries, but we expect them to bounce back.
4. St. George (4) - Some quality victories. They should stick around 4-6.
5. St. Alphonsus (5) - This team continues to scratch and claw its way to victory.
6. Sacred Heart (8) - Huge win over Aloysius. They have some upcoming tests which could solidify their ranking.
7. Redemptorist (unr) - Their point guard scored 42 points against St. Francis Xavier. They are a scary team for anyone to face.
8. CHS (6) - Has dominated unranked teams, but struggled against equal or stronger competition. Big games this week against Sacred Heart and St. Elizabeth.

Yep, 54 was not on the basketball team last year. Not much of a basketball player, but a hell of a running back. Mercy’s basketball team is so long and athletic from 1-8 it’s ridiculous.
St. George must be feeling the effects of a possible new public school system. They lost to St. Theresa this week.
Gonna be a hell of a season. I put my money on OLOM, with St. Jude a close second. I love this thread.

Yes sir. The Elite 8 is this weekend. First round matchups are as follows:
#1 Our Lady of Mercy vs #8 MBS
#4 St. George vs #5 St. Alphonsus
#3 St. Jude vs #6 St. Jean Vianney
#2 St. Aloysius vs #7 Sacred Heart
Predicted 6 out of 8 tournament teams right this season. CHS and St. Theresa did not make it. Both were on the bubble and surging late, but did not have the overall resume required to get selected by the committee.

Congrats to Our Lady of Mercy on winning the Elite 8 over St. Jude to cap off another great CSAA season. Mercy controlled the game from start to finish, with the Cougars making a few runs including cutting it to single digits in the 4th quarter.

Unless their whole starting 5 leaves due to parents getting transferred out of state for work, St. George is looking like a clear cut #1 lock for next year.
