Kisner hit 7/15 fairways, 9/18 greens, and shot -5. That's pretty crazy.

That would have been a -1 or E this afternoon

Crazy how much difference the course plays between morning and afternoon when it is this dry

Its just unfortunate the way golf works sometimes

Shotgun starts would be the "fair" way to do it, but for broadcasting it will never be done

I'm pretty sure Keopka did something similar on either Saturday or Sunday at the US Open.

Just scrambled his arse off and made the putts.

Yeh its the one part about golf that has always irked me

You cant really say "it was the same for the other guy" like you can in other sports

There are times when parts of the field get huge advantages that others dont

You also can’t get everyone on the course at the same time.

No you cant

But they could compact the tee times greatly

It’s also significantly windier now than it was this morning. That’s the bigger issue.

It's windier, but yeah, hasn't been too bad.

They showed it at 15 mph in some places. It’s not that bad, but it’s signficantly different than it being 2-3 mph.

The wind also dries out the course even more like you mentioned.

I would think someone would compare the morning wave to afternoon wave somewhere. I’m interested to see the difference.

That wind graphic is telling. 12 mph in the face now. 9 mph cross wind for morning groups.

Likely would rather the afternoon wind specifically for 17 then right? Distance isnt really the issue there

I actually think 17 and 18 have been easier in the afternoon.

Could be wrong though.

Yeah probably so. Was anyone taking on the hazard this morning? It's possible without a headwind.
