Yea, I was looking at it the other day. It's stupid AF. There are some incredibly dumb NFTs.

I’ve got $50 in the whole thing. I still have about 30 NFTs. Nothing worth mentioning but maybe one day they’ll be worth a couple bucks. They got greedy and made too many packs.

How? There's a record of all NFT purchases so how would anything be laundered through them?

Someone give a “collector” dirty cash money and then that person purchases an otherwise worthless :13 second data clip for 100k. Then the seller has clean money.

No they don't. That's not how money laundering works.

Terrible analogy.

A picture of something is not physically the same as the something.

All the bits of your clip are the same as all the bits of everyone else's copy. You just own a few extra bits that say you and only you are special to those bits in a particular network (block chain).

You're dismissing a pretty important distinction. Like you said, the blockchain (ledger) says that I own it. Therefore, no one else does.

It might be a few extra bits, but those bits mean that I can sell my picture of a cartoon pig for $2,000. No one else can.
