and they think the scratch players from their local clubs is one step away from the tour.
I just think the courses the LPGA players play are not hard
and don't forget we aren't talking about the top LPGA players, but the 100th ranked who averages 73-74 as previously stated in this thread

Judge Smails dominates his home course on weekends though, zomg!
Were talking about your normal scratch golfer, he plays probably 3 days a week and has a job.
Most likely an ex college player.
Some of you really think hes gonna walk out there and beat a chick, who plays golf FOR A LIVING, more times than not?

If u were that good for that long that basically means your old and cant hit with the big boys anymore. Im still young (kinda) and hit the ball a long way. So honestly i feel it is unfair to play courses from the blues or even shorter.

bomber77,
I see you from Miss. Im going play Kiva Sat. No way in hell im paying $100 to play the blues. I dont give a shite if i shoot 95 from the tips. Play it as tough as possible. U say you play the tips for tourney rounds? U dont think playing that more often would get you more prepared???

Yeah, Im over 50 now. I was still long until about 43. I got sick and spent 4 years on kidney dialysis until my transplant. Im getting my game back but I can only drive the ball about 250-260 now.

Ill play a few rounds from the tips to prepare but its a grind to me. Driver and 4 iron to the green isnt as fun as when I could pound the driver 300+.

Scratch golfers are playing the tips, down, and anywhere from 7000-7800.
Most scratch golfers play the back tees, but the average course is probably around 6700-7000 yds from the tips.
They play the Nationwide tour championship here and its just over 7200 yds. Got a chance to play it after volunteering at the tournament, and that's a tough course. Not your everyday public layout or setup...regardless of the yardage.

Just for kicks, the 100th ranked women's golfer, Wendy Ward, is T-2 at -2 in the US Open.

And you say this without ever seeing these girls and the golf courses they play.
Tournament settings are completely different. The tour stroke average is 71.22 this year.
