Lost by six on nine holes btw. Of course I was extremely drunk. I think in my given scenerio in the op, the woman wins the majority of the time

J6900 is the magic number imo

4 170 yard par 3's
4 550 yard par 5's
10 400 yard par 4's

Nothing an LPGA player cant handle. I dont see them at a disadvantage here.

She's ranked 100. Far from your average LPGA player, IMO.

I agree the woman wins too. The male / female advantage is not there in golf like it is in basketball.

I guess if he wants to talk about "average" then the #50 ranked player in scoring average is 72.79. #100 is 73.75. So a one stroke average difference. Not seeing his point considering each event has 100+ players.

Not talking about ranking, was more talking about the "average" LPGA player when we think of them. 100 is very low in my opinion.

-Get a gallery and play 4 rounds, I'd say the 100th ranked lpga gal would win a majority of the time.
-Take the lpga girl and the scratch golfer on the scratch golfers home course, and he would probably win if they just played one round.
-Take them both on a course neither has played and my money would be on the lpga girl.

The LPGA player is shooting 74 in tournaments. Look up results for scratch golfers in state am tournaments or USGA local qualifying, and see how many times they break 75. The only way the scratch golfer can win is if he is a tournament scratch (only enters tournament scores).

If you were scratch everytime you played, you'd be a multimillionaire on the pga tour.

this would be a handicap of +2 or so. Handicap is a gauge of your potential.

You would not make many cuts much less keep your card. Assuming a scoring average of 72 you would rank 174 in scoring and top 125 on the money list keep their card. On the average PGA golf course shooting par is a +2 or +3 handicap and on difficult courses a +4 or +5.

There are only a couple cuts a year that are at even par or worse such as the US OPEN. You would have to shoot anywhere from -5 to -10 in the 36 hole qualifier to get into the US OPEN.

on a 6900 yard course I say the scratch male golfer assuming the male is a longer hitter. There are scratch golfers at my course than play the blues and only drive it 260.

How long are the typical LPGA course setups? are they at least 6,000 yards?

Last year the scoring average for the 100th female on the LPGA was 73.75.

The average yardage for an LPGA Tour golf course is between 6,200 and 6,400 yards.

Take that for what it's worth.
