I'm sure they would, but they'd be very lonely in their position

Perhaps, and justifiably so, based on tOSU's final 3 games. But those are 3 games TCU didn't get to play in. No CCG, no semifinal, no NCG.

Maybe the Big XII is culpabable for that, maybe it was 59-0 in Indy, but it's not like TCU did anything down the stretch to hurt themselves. They were #3 heading into the last weekend for presumably good reason.

TCU didn't really help themselves with performances against WVU and Kansas. Ohio State was less than impressive at times, but as you mention, a 59-0 win over #11 in a CCG always beats any win over Iowa State.

Your grammar is probably worse.

Ok, so who shouldn't have been in the playoff?
It was painfully obvious that Florida State didn't belong.

Agreed, I made that argument for Ohio State last December...

Some of you still need to forget about the way the polls worked before. The selection committee said from the start that each week would be ranked off a clean slate. Previous weeks don't matter.

Ohio State, Baylor and Florida State added to their resumes this weekend by beating better opponents than TCU did

It doesn't matter. New week. New set of information to base rankings off of. TCU didn't hurt their resume, but the other 3 teams improved theirs

I think getting left out of the playoff was the best thing that could've happened to TCU. All things considered they honestly had as much of an argument as Marshall for a spot. Maybe even less; at least Marshall played a CCG

TCU got to smash an overrated Ole Miss in their bowl game, then sit back and complain about being "left out" while Ohio State was busy running through Bama and Oregon. The likely alternative is them getting a beating from anyone in the top four and never getting the benefit. Now, they get to play that "we'll never know card" until they finally do get their shot, deserved or not. It's unfortunate, really, because we'll never "know" if 2014 Marshall was a title contender either.
