Does anyone know of any sort of going after someone who scammed you where paying by Zelle was the form of payment ?

That is the risk with Zelle. I love it for sending to friends and family because of it being instant but I would never recommend using it for anything else.

Just curious how something like this happens?

Who were you sending $$$ to, and what was it for?

I posted a “looking to buy” thread on Craigslist for a concert ticket. Trying to get something last minute for less than face value. Had success doing this for years but when ticket transfers went digital, a scammer responds saying he has ticket but you Zelle the money first. I said I would Zelle half and then he send tickets and then I’d Zelle the other half. Of course the ticket never came. I think I got scammed for $40, worst part is that I’ve been giving money to Ticketmaster ever since.

Use PayPal goods and services. It has a small fee but includes warranties for receipt of goods/services

I pay my south of the border yard guy with Zelle every month. He gives me a discount if I pay with Zelle and it's easy peasy.
