Since you guys might need years to be able to validate what actual savings DOGE may provide, what will you say if the national deficit turns into a budget surplus this year? Would you give Trump and DOGE credit then for creating a budget surplus, or would you look to give credit to someone else, or will that also take years to validate where a budget surplus came from?

Well if people say they’re going to lose their benefits and they don’t, they won’t care. Which is why trump is moving so fast. To get stuff done before the Dems can figure out how to cheat again.

It’s interesting watching the government bootlickers try to argue that the waste and fraud isn’t really all that bad… it’s just politics. Even if you offer to return money to their pockets, their TDS will cause them to rationalize how that’s actually a bad thing.

Man, he tweeted something like “vampires are collecting SS” lol and then Trump talked about it at a news conference asking how many were getting paid.
OIG put all of that info in a report in 2023 and SSA explained why they didn’t update it: no one was receiving benefits, it would be expensive to change, and it would be burdensome on other state and local gov agencies.

I just saw something flash across the news that illegal migrants cost the US Government about $452B from Jan 2021 through Jan 2023. There's a lot more of them added from Jan 2023 to now. Trump said yesterday he is signing a bill to eliminate ALL illegal benefits paid by the federal government. I guess that will result in at least some savings towards the $2T goal, correct? Hopefully many of these criminals (they are all criminals) will self deport as they will no longer get free money to send back to their home countries.
Oh, I almost forgot. We are no longer going to spend over $400M on transgender animal studies and the impact of cocaine on sea bass.

Yeah the news is changing so fast. Trump just signed the executive order instructing all federal departments to find and halt All federal aid being provided to all illegal immigrants in the US.
No more of your tax dollars going to illegal immigrants for SNAP, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, free housing, education grants and more! Also no more federal aid to Sanctuary Cities.
Isn't it great to know that illegals will soon not be able to basically steal benefits from Americans that have been paying taxes their entire work life? Each Illegal Migrant is costing Tax Payers $132K per year. They need to go back where they came from, and if they want to be productive citizens here, they can come back legally.

You laugh. 11 months ago, it was noted by the Social Services Commissioner in the New York City Council how much it costs for housing an illegal migrant in New York City. See the video linked below for yourself.
$388 per day x 365 days = $141, 640 per migrant per year. And that's just housing costs.
Regardless of what it costs, any amount is too much. Some of you just don't get it. If we don't turn the Federal deficit into a budget surplus soon, the US government will go into bankruptcy and the economy and society collapse.
Janet Yellen did a great job of setting our country up for failure. Most of the Federal Debt was set at a low ARM adjustable rate interest rate that is due to be adjusted 3 years from now. If those rates go up which they are headed to do, the annual deficit will balloon above our GDP and it's over for the country. Trump and DOGE are going to head this off by creating a budget surplus which will drop interest rates. If that doesn't happen, we are all fricked in 3 years. Funny how that was timed just before the next presidential election too.
But you folks just keep cheering against Trump being successful at your own peril if you get your ignorant way. Luckily, you are likely in the minority now and unable to do anything to stop Trump and Elon from saving the country.

We paid the taxes that were misspent so we are owed a refund. That deficit is already booked. Maybe they should pay down the national debt and give us all a tax credit for our share. That way the tax revenue gets back to what it should be and with a balanced budget amendment passed and phased in , spending will finally come into line. And vote to decrease tax rates and brackets.
Only way we can get this right is to also starve the government of money to waste.

They don’t give a frick about you. Do you know WHY they’re trying to make all these cuts? Because they want to pass a $4.5T tax cut but can’t pass it through Congress without cutting at least $1T in spending. There will be no refunds. There will be tax cuts for the oligarchs who are guiding this orange dog around by a leash. You see the House bill Trump endorsed today? $880B cut to Medicare and Medicaid. Let’s see how that goes over with the electorate.
