For those unfamiliar here is a brief synopsis
Launched on Pi Day, March 14, 2019, Pi Network is a mobile blockchain mining project on a mission to give everyone access to the crypto revolution. This is accomplished by allowing anyone to mine Pi coins on their mobile devices without negatively impacting their battery.

Basically you mine on your phone. Here is where it's gets interesting. It's now trading at roughly $76 per coin. However per PI official Twitter, the coin is not yet available as it hasbe been main netted.

Anyone have an idea what's going on?

I’d honestly be surprised if anything came from this at all. They could just collecting everyone’s data on the app. That said I do still have some coins that I’ll keep just in case I’m wrong

It's on crypto.com as well as bit mart trading. I have close to 1k I had forgotten about. At current rate that 76k lol. But the Twitter post as well on the chat support in all saying that it currently isn't available to buy or trade but mine only? Very strange. I read something about the PI that is being traded isn't real PI and something IOU.

Come again? If that's the case, I'm about to go shite on my boss's desk, which is actually my desk. I'm pretty sure it's like $0.0001.

I have 6000 tokens. How do I sell them for $75 each then pay the house off?

That's the trick. You have to set everything up. Some parts are invite randomly like to do the kyc thing. Set up wallet and etc. I'm not sure what all it is as I'm awaiting my kyc invites to set it up. Then I'm not sure what all the deal is

But moreso is the Twitter link in first post states from PI themselves that these are unauthorized and aren't real tokens so I don't really know what's going on. Even in Thier general chat through the app a mod stated tokens have no monetary value and are not on any trading markets. Transferring any tokens is a scam

The price is irrelevant because someone actually needs to put money in to buy your coin.

Just another scam coin worth zero.

This sounds eerily similar to things going around right before icp launched.

It worked out for icp folks.

PI is not on the open market, so the price you are seeing has not actually been traded, it is more of a FUTURE valuation.

Be very careful guys. If you are interacting with this token via web like metamask ETC, they get you by you trying to approve a contract to "sell" and your wallet can get drained of "real" coins.

If it not on exchange then it must be on some defi/liquidity platform.

If this is the case, you can easily see if there is a liquidity pool.

I have countless shite airdropped coins in my wallet that wills show some "value" but its actually ZERO because its a liquidity scam.

People make scam coins all the time that mirror "real" projects to get people.

You can use places like Bogswap to checkout all your shite airdropped coins and research pools, wallets etc.

Just be smart.
