Hospital. Could have started at about $99500 based on the offers I got in retail (2007).

I started at $45/hr, retail was in the $47-49/hr then, but my best offer was $47.50/hr.

Does a pharmacist salary increase substantially over time or is in pretty static?

Seems like it only would if you owned your own shop.

I haven't checked the going rate in the retail world lately, and I don't know what starting salaries today would be, but at my job I get annual evals and, unless you're a sucky employee, an annual raise based on your eval. I make about $119,000 now pre-tax.

Eta: That's after being here 6 years.

I think you missed the op.

But how did you go from 50k to 120k in 4 years as a CE? I will be graduating in December as a CE and would love to follow that career path!

Decided I hated civil design, got an MBA, jumped into construction, worked my arse off (learned P6, cost, finance, forecasting), got real field experience in the plants.

I made great connections and really put in the grind when others were watching football and partying. Good luck to you brother.

I am curious too. I don't know any CEs making that kind of money. They are usually on the lower end of engineering income.

You get promoted into department or engineering management of some sort.

I am going in any further detail but it is very possible. Read my previous post. Try not to get stuck in a rut. Be willing to travel if possible. Make connections.

Full time or while working?

I have the opportunity to get a full ride to LSU MBA along with a part time job on campus in business/sports admin. I'm not sure if I should do the full time MBA or get a full time job where my employer will play for a professional MBA

I would guess that is his current salary?

If he had some advanced degree that specialized him such as a phd or something, I could also see that as a starting salary too
