What do you think about refiners? MPC and VLO

I haven't followed refiners lately I am a longtime owner of EPD love the dividend on that one.

GILD is paying off big y'all...still time to get in if you want to ride that train. April/May calls...

MRNA is a crazy one I'm taking 100% profits off it then watch it go back down & repeat. Timeline is way out on the results of its vaccine test but people are still going all FOMO on it.

TWLO at 99 was just too good to pass up. They are in the backbone of pretty much every major app stack at this point.

(1) By the end of next week the CDC will FINALLY have enough tests distributed to begin effective contact screening. That is key to beating the virus. We should see CV numbers rapidly rise over the ensuing 7-10 days d/t to accelerated screening. That is a good thing, regardless of how it is reported. My guess is we will see CV numbers peak, stabilize, and start to fall by the end of the month.

It seems they have about 1 million tests available now, with roughly a million more ready by next week, but I think the question is, will they efficiently test a significant amount of people in a significant amount of time? Especially considering it's the local and state gov'ts who are doing it.

We seem to be lagging other countries in our response to this (for instance S. Korea had tested 60,000+ within a week of their first case). And with carriers being asymptomatic for up to a week, how much will it spread before a significant amount of people get tested?

I think much of this depends on the gov'ts response to it, and from an economic (or market) standpoint, your opinion of where we go from here depends on how effective you think our gov't will be in handling it.

I hope you're right about this:

but with the current measures other countries are taking (quarantines, city shutdowns, etc) it's hard for me to imagine us doing the same in order to combat it, and will our method be effective in slowing it down?

I’m crazy about MPC at these levels. Too many options!! Not sure if oil and gas should be one of them.

Might just continue CIM and VYM for now

Waiting to see how low WMT gets. It was at 120 on Wednesday and hit 104 today. This chaos is sure to make for a good end to the qtr.
