eh it saves gas if you are stopped a lot at stop lights.

Hopefully it is enough savings to pay for a new starter in a few years.

If you drive a lot, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid gets about 50mpg. The new Hyundais have the best warranties as well as free maintenance for 3 years. Hyundai and Kia are up and coming brands. Hondas are overpriced. Relevant experience - i recently compared all the new midsized sedans and found the Hyundais to be the best value. They have some nicer or faster vehicles, too. I just went for gas mileage and reliability/maintenance.

Volvo XC40. I got one for my wife last year, really good ride, accelerates quick, super comfortable. Con - smaller back hatch area. 42k new is what mine cost

Last month I got a 2018 Volvo XC90 with 45K for $30K. White exterior with light grey leather. Beautiful SUV.

Get a used Lexus es350

Sold one last month, 2011 Lexus ES350, it had 111K miles, good condition, far from perfect, ran good and looked good. I got $7500 for it.

This tech is old, they dont really have issues.

But like he said, you can just turn it off like you can in most vehicles.

Problem with the maverick is if you need to fit child seats in it. It's rough. If wasn't for that I would likely have one.

Con - the damn thing shuts off the engine when you’re stopped for more than a few seconds. You can hit a button to make it quit, but you have to do it every time you start the engine.

Mine only does this when it temp outside is below a certain number. The manual references engine temperature, so I guess weather also affect engine temp. Do you live somewhere cooler?

I notice it happens in the mornings right now on my way to work (which I hit the button to stop it the first time it does it), but when I come home from work it doesn't do it at all and didn't do it all summer. My friend is the dealer who sold me the car and said it's a temperature thing.

i believe it's more likely to shut off if a/c not running, which is why it does it more when cold outside. most new cars have something like this now. annoyingly, almost all seem to auto reset to on each time you restart
