T is only good if you like over-bloated balance sheets lol and a decent yield. But not at 20x earnings.

But not at 20x earnings.

Google finance does list the T P/E at 20.25

I think this came up in another thread on here but for some reason some sites come up with that high PE. It is most definitely a single digit figure right now.

AT&T's consensus forward one year EPS forecast is $3.62/share according to NASDAQ.com. LINK
Its closing price today is $30.10.
That gives it a forward PE of 8.31.

Yeah and the backward for the past 4 quarters is similar
So our lesson here today, kids, is don’t trust everything someone posts on the money board

It appears that ATT has $8 billion of cash on hand and $65 billion of current liabilities. I guess they can always restructure that debt to make it longer term.
From your forward PE I'll guess that the market expects yearly earnings of $25-30 billion.
Current book value (total assets-total liabilities) is $140 billion or so. Market cap is $220 billion. I think of that as the market implying future cash flows are worth $80 billion.
I read somewhere that their average interest rate on the debt is 4.4% (14 percent of which is variable rate). That was on SeekingAlpha though, which is all over the place.

Always a good idea to double check when a number doesn’t make sense. There are not going to be any telecom companies trading above the market average PE.

In 2018 its estimated free cash flow was just under $21 billion.

That’s why I was sort of joking about t being a bow wow stock, I should have known better.

Unless you’re worried about debt service.

Unless you’re worried about debt service.
But debt service is why I referred to T's EBITDA and FCF.

I see. Thank you
re: There are some major issues lurking in the US financial marketsPosted by leoj on 1/9/19 at 5:44 pm to LSURussian
They expect fcf to hit $26 bil in 2019 and net debt to EBITDA to be at 2.5x by end of the year. They could sell their stake in Hulu which would get them around $1 bil. They are about to have layoffs and haven’t even started creating synergies because of the ongoing Justice appeal on the TW merger, I believe.

Does anyone here know of a good website that lets you track company debt interest rates already on the books?

I do not, but that would be nice.

I’m sure Valueline premium or Morningstar premium would tell you that info but it won’t be free lol.
