for much longer than that, the most valuable substance on earth was not gold. It was salt. Now it’s $0.50 a pound

And your estimate is flattering, but wrong. My finances have nothing to do with the argument. If you disagree with the point, argue the point. If you want to worry about how much other people have, here's a club that would love to have you.

Argue what point? You made a woe as me post about being unlucky.

You’re objectively not.

The point is that if the dollar goes to zero, it doesn't matter how many dollars you have. Zero times any number is still zero. The "with my luck" line was a joke, not a "woe is me" assessment of my life.

And if you're attributing whatever financial success I've had to luck, you're mistaken. I didn't start with much, and I've done a lot of things right to get where I am. I'm fortunate and blessed, but that's exactly why I don't take kindly to people who think they're entitled to judge what I have, how I got it, or what that says about my life.

the Dollar is a fiat currency…. and no fiat currency has ever survived … ever

There’s a reason that central banks worldwide are buying gold bullion hand-over-fist …..

I am sorry for you, man. You had all of that wealth, then lost it in a boating accident, right before Pocahontas, AOC and the redistribute krewe showed up.

Yes, the same currency that is backed only by “the full faith and credit of the US” ….. a country that is currently $40 Trillion in Debt, whose credit rating has been categorically lowered 3 times in the last 6 years, and is continuing to spend like a flotilla of drunken sailors.

There is no political solution to this scenario …. it no longer exists. And the days of playing like an ostrich have passed ….. America must make painful choices.

Forget politics, there's no math solution apart from financial repression.
