Timing is gambling, you should always be investing.

Put my cash into buying longer term calls over the last few days. It was a roll of the dice, but it's all looking good now.

2962 points up on the DOW at 4:00.

Don’t beat yourself up, just focus on adding on dips at this point.

It can be tough to stay away from the financial entertainment channels in times like these. My recently retired dad got sucked in this past week, I’ve never heard him this unhinged since I was a kid. It was eye opening.

Seeing your investments fall is stressful enough, listening to hedge fund billionaires on CNBC feigning honest advice, but really just trying to save their own China exposure, is pouring gasoline on your fire.

Market jumped today on what? Because people got too "yippee" so a guy decided to pause draconian tariffs against the world for 90 days?

We're still in a full scale trade war with China. Inflationary prices are still coming. The supply chain is going to be a mess for the foreseeable future. Growth is down already and there's no reason to believe it'll jump up. Treasuries look like shite.

I improved my position thanks to having sold a modest amount back in late February and buying back in Monday, but I don't think we're near the floor. I'm going to let it ride because the global markets are drunk thanks to our government's actions, but I fully expect to lose my arse over the next year or two.

Why would you miniate a trade that you believe is a loser?

I'm not going to trust my gut, nor will I trust any common sense. We live in a clown world right now...all normalcy is out the window. I'm not comfortable making big decisions under these circumstances. Just going to take the modest position improvement and let it ride instead of stressing out each and every day watching the market, and our gov, act irrationally.

Was just curious if you were planning on moving that 12% back into the stock market at some point when things settle down, if so, I'd have really questioned that decision. If you're thinking about moving it into some other type of vehicle, makes more sense.

You said the same thing 2 years ago about Tesla. I bought in because you were scared, I’m up 70% since then

You are too emotional

Still gains to be made after today especially when the ‘deals’ with various countries start being made market should react positively towards that as it equals stability.

Yes. What’s confusing about it?

Trump said, "Do you want to make some money?!!" . I said, "Yes I do" and went all in. He was right.
