My VTI shares are back up to 202 which is a mere 40 dollars a share down from a couple months ago. Huzzah!

Most level headed people are buy and hold types. Trying to time the market is a quick way to go broke. So no reason to worry with the day to day except for entertainment.

There is always a dead cat bounce before the bottom goes. Go look at the last 4 biggest meltdowns besides Covid.

Except, you know, the last 20%+ pullback before Covid...

No telling how this one plays out, but your comment is incorrect nonetheless. Also, we've already seen a dead cat bounce in the latter half of March 2022.

2018 is conveniently forgotten around here.

One of every 20 is nothing to be excited about.

The Feds have signaled the intent to raise interest rates more aggressively if need be to battle inflation.

We have more to drop. Today was a dead cat bounce and you can’t compare this market to the Covid drop market.

I'll take the green but the forces driving down the market haven't changed.

Except some early signs of inflation rate of change peaking out recently.

By the time the facts are packaged up and delivered to us all by CNBC, the market will have been moving for months.

For the record, I don’t think we’re fully in the clear. I also don’t see a complete collapse and more than happy with my averaging in the low 3900s. Will do it again if needed.

Sitting in cash won’t do anything for you over the next year. Go buy bonds, and you’ll clip 2-4% at best. Give me quality companies at these discounts every time.

Because most level headed people know this could just be a temp bounce or it could be the bottom.

Not really a time to gloat for anyone.

I think we're pretty close to "sell in May, then go away" mode for a lot of Money board traders, too.
