DKNG earnings out before the bell. Good numbers, but as with all of these user based tech stocks it’s all about user growth. I had planned on this being a stalwart of my portfolio and have been accumulating as such, but there is so much competition in this space now. I may trim some if this premarket pop holds.

Online gambling app DraftKings (DKNG) reported better-than-expected loss and revenue figures, though user growth fell short.

I’m not on Twitter. I get most of my info from Zack’s, seeking alpha, TipRanks, an occasional look at motley fool (which I’m not renewing), check cathie’s ark, etc. cross reference all of them. Check price targets from 3 sites. if I see something I like, I try to get more info on what usually turns out to be hype videos on YT, but half of them bring good technical analysis. Most of those stocks mentioned I’ve been in before. I tend to rotate a core amount of stocks

I had it in my head yesterday was Friday and the market was closed today. Time to get back at it.

There are some really knowledgeable and great accounts to follow on fintwit. I also usually use the Twitter search bar to find the early information for why a stock is selling off.
Zach’s and Tipranks are alright but inadequate in solidifying conviction during selloffs. Price targets are great too, but sometimes snakeoil, thus also inadequate.
Do your own research into a stock, and if you like it, buy. Then include SA, Zachs, Twitter, etc to strengthen your conviction. The main thing is solidifying your conviction for the selloff.

You have to be on something.

PENN with a massive beat, jumped up a lot and now down a bit again.
Surely this one runs through the fall even further?
Also PINS has to be a decent buy under 60 again right? User addition is a problem but damn, they're making a lot of money.

IMO it's a no brainer add. The more I think about PENN as a company, what is not to like. You cannot replicate the following they have.

Fat, pasty rust belt girls in cowboy boots barfing and falling off party buses and getting run over everywhere.
Not sure how long we will last here.

This thread has turned back into Timmy posting every ticker he sees on Twitter, etc. With no substance at all. You can’t be any older than 16, eh?
LOL. This thread was much more enjoyable when xxTimmyxx was not here. Please go back to your hiatus or whatever it was.

You have a choice to engage or not. Let's not turn this into a pissing match/gang up fest.

Is the thought that user growth fell short in a slow quarter for professional sports? Would it be expected to increase in Q3 with the back half of MLB (and playoff push) and NFL getting started?

They raised guidance for rest of year, in theory Q3 should be huge.

This is my expectation as well. I like both the immediate near-term growth (seasonal, if you will) and I also see long term growth potential even with increased competition. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing.
I initiated a sizeable position at ~ $43 when it dipped three weeks ago. Going to continue to buy when it is near $45. Otherwise I'm content to hold and see what this thing does in the back half of this calendar year.

I would think so.
