10-yr treasury auction today at 1pm

And if the auction keeps rates near the 1.5% level? That — for Alec Young — will be a sign it is much safer to go back into technology. "Investors want to own tech," he told me. "There is no deep loyalty to most of the reopening names. No one wants to overown Carnival Cruise Lines, or United Airlines or even Chevron. They want tech."

How does the early/aftermarket work to know if a regular smo like me gets in riding the wave at open, and it not drop out of the gate?
Hope that newb question makes sense any. Thx

No way to know.
If you're a "regular smo," just buy and dont worry about pre market and all that. Just invest. Worn matter

a good rule of thumb is to buy during market hours and sell into rallies after hours. I never ever buy after hours

AUHighPlainsDrifter....how do use this page? I was trying to figure out the best way to see stocks moving up early to see what to get in on. It's definitely above my knowledge level, so wondering if there is a view that would be helpful.

Thanks.
Just trying to learn for sure. I see aftermarket when I check in stuff in the morning, and makes me wonder if I will be getting in to late at opening. Or if I should wait 30 or so mins to see if things settle. I'm trying to learn how not to get in my own way at the moment.
Yeah I have an elementary knowledge/verbiage around all of this. Definitely the "I need it told you me like I'm 5" type. Ha.
Thanks again

RBLX may be fun to watch today, I don't have a stake in it being this is day 1 launch for them, but could be fun to watch. Could this be the new Minecraft?

That's a good approach. Makes sense Thanks. My Fidelity acct says have to sign off on something to buy afterhours. I wonder if that would be the same if I were to sell after hours.

i posted a down and dirty on NVTA a few pages back (maybe more than a few). its a quick ten minute video using NVTA investor slides to clearly explain who they are and what they do.
like anything else, the value is in the data
ARKG is a good place to be IMO

Good advice.
ARKR was up a little even in the blood bath. Restaurants and post covid are a good play.
