So guys, what am I looking for in IDEX today. I bought 1000 shares yesterday and am about even but I am not a seasoned trader especially these quick in and out stocks. What is the ceiling for this one? Is anyone getting out today before Monday depending on what it might do before the meeting?

I am watching VRM today.
if it peeks above 50 I’m going to go in
hugely profitable company with miles to go. I’m not sure why it hasn’t busted out yet

You should see the people like "If you profit off of BYFC today you should donate it all to a BLM organization."
Nah, frick that. I'm here to make money.

According to Vroom’s prospectus, the company lost $143 million in 2019 and $41.1 million in the first quarter, compared with losses of $85.2 million for 2018 and $27.1 million in the first quarter of 2019.
The company has never been profitable since its start in 2012, its dividends are nowhere in sight, and its losses have piled up.

I'll day trade it today. if I get a good % then I'll sell and wait for it to drop down again. I've noticed over the past few days IDEX stock dramatically rises around 830am and then falls back down to earth after lunch.

Etrade and TD are preventing people from buying BYFC.

So I understand, you are waiting for it to get to 50?? I'm seeing it at 45ish right now and I don't think I understood you correctly. Can you explain your strategy in a little more detail? Trying to learn here sorry...

Thanks for the info...Someone yesterday had suggested sitting on it until Monday because of an announcement and thought it would shoot up then. Trying to learn here but what is your play and what influences that decision if you don't mind me asking??

Resistance is $45.70. Thinking is generally if it can plow through the resistance it will continue to rise. Not trying to speak for cgrand but that may be along the lines of his thinking.

I'm going to sit on it until Monday as well. But if I see it shooting up again to 250 like it did yesterday I'm going to sell and then purchase it when it inevitably drops down again.

Depends how you feel about the stock. For me, I'm not selling until I see 3 at least. I think by the end of the year it can hit 6. I don't have some crazy price target as others trying to pump it up. I had the same reservations as some others did about them being a middle man when I bought the stock. But after they consolidated and started focusing on EV, I feel a lot more confident in them. They had their hand in too many pots.
With that said, you could have make a killing day trading this stock over the past few weeks. I'm comfortable holding this longer unless I need to move the money somewhere else. You can reap benefits either way.

MSFT hit a 52 week high. That said the announced the next ex-div date to be 8/19. Over the past 5 dividends MSFT has risen an average of 12.4% between announcement and ex-div, with a minimum of 2.3% and max of 25%. I already own a decent amount in my portfolio and can't justify adding more, although I still think it's a good buy.

I was in on MSFT at 192 earlier this week and switched my funds to IDEX from the TD tip

Yeah, my average cost basis is $150. Kicking myself for not loading up when it dropped along with everything else due to COVID.
