I will speak a GOGO breakout into existence. They don’t report until 3/11 so we have plenty of time. I finally got out from under OGI today after 2.5 years, and sold BB for a small gain...all that went to GOGO

here is the bull thesis

GOGO sold their commercial aviation unit for 400MM cash plus 17MM revenue guarantee over 10 years. It was losing money and there was wide skepticism that they could dump it.

they sit on a fairly large mountain of debt that “should” be favorably refinanced any day now, and may have already been done so. Institutions are begging for corporate debt right now. Their business aviation unit is profitable on its own, and business/private aviation is way up compared to commercial. Gates just invested big dollars to buy a part of signature aviation (largest FBO in the world). 5G in the air is not cost sensitive in that market, they can charge whatever they want on a recurring subscription basis (the holy grail of revenue growth). Commercial aviation is going to consolidate opening an opportunity for those who can afford it to fly privately.

Then you have the drone industry (coming soon to an Amazon order near you). They have to be connected above ground and out of range of ground based controls.

finally the short interest below 15 which should be the trigger. It hit 16 the other day and immediately jumped back down. If it can get there and stay there pressure will mount

Private equity owns a 1/4 stake in GOGO. I’d say it more likely they get taken private than that they get bought out. We will see

It’s highly risky but it’s a 14 dollar stock. Airplanes rely on being connected for everything from avionics to systems monitoring. An airplane is a giant Internet of Things
