I dropped ETSY because I think it will free fall after the pandemic. I got destroyed when the first vaccine news came out. It has come back nicely. A lot of analysts kind of feel the same way I do. Just felt like it was a ticking time bomb

The women I know love and use the hell out of etsy. The 4q numbers are going to be insane. I think it is a unique platform that actually differentiates itself in a way that the big players can't really infringe upon.

yes

also, another thing about ETSY...ETSY is a developer incubator. all the primary engineers at FSLY for example came from ETSY. what that means to the investor is that ETSY's platform is VERY developer friendly, and thus (like Pinterest) is just now on the cusp of full realization as an e-commerce (and advertising) portal. similar to PINS in that it fuses e-commerce and social media in a forward looking way, free of trolls, bots, hate speech and general asshattery.

its a "safe space" where commerce can occur

Surprised to not see FSLY or Illumina on any of the ark etf's

ARKG just finished dumping all their shares of ILMN a couple weeks ago.

i was looking at them and REGN, but i was going to go with REGN because of the massive price targets.

It does sound like most of the etsy sellers are having significant issues with shipping. This is obviously somewhat out of ETSY's control but it is something that absolutely has to get fixed longterm. Doesn't sound like ETSY has been super supportive about being upfront about shipping to the customer either leading to issues with the seller-customer relationships.

Don't forget the wild card I mentioned a few weeks ago with the Etsy lingerie section being full of amateur noodz. Really draws in the young male demographic.

Bought 50 FSLY $115 1/15/20 calls about a month ago. Sold them 2 weeks ago for 20k profit. This stock has made me more money between shares and buying calls than anything in recent memory. I feel like a tech pullback is inevitable. I hope I’m wrong

When you first posted this, I had to check it out. (Only because I’m a shareholder and I’m doing my due diligence) Showed my wife and told her I’ll be browsing Etsy more than her now.

It was only a month or so ago I found out all the adult themed items that Amazon has. It's no different than those Adam and Eve type stores, there is stuff you wouldn't imagine for sale on Amazon.

I just discovered the same for lingerie. I'll be browsing Etsy all night now. It never even crossed my mind to look at that.
