Agreed. Hard to see doctors wanting to use telehealth when they aren’t getting paid the same as when they do in person visits.
It might generate a lot more volume due to the convenience and time saving factors. As a related example, I have bought a great number more books now since I have Kindle on my iPad because I can find anything and download it quickly and easily. I used to have to go and browse Barnes & Noble which was always an hour or two round trip. Now it is a five minutes.

$187 Teledoc. Good entry point?
I’m talking about 2 shares here, I’m not a baller but this will tangly be 5% of my portfolio.

Cathie and ARK have been buying TDOC every single day for the past week. Take that FWIW.

What you are not seeing is that the majority of specialties can and will not use Telehealth after the covid scare. In fact they are not now.
Where are you getting this? Anecdotal evidence? TDOC visits were up over 300% when compared to Q3 last year...and again, focusing on just virtual doctors visits is disregarding the Livongo merger, which is a huge growth market, as well--maybe more stable than the future of virtual doctors visits at this point.
You're also saying "new administration" and disregarding that a large portion of the Telehealth market's growth will be international, where TDOC is well positioned.
Anyways, we obviously have different opinions on this that won't change, so I won't drone on.

Amazon is building a telehealth business and pitching the service to major employers including Zillow, five people familiar with the matter, who were not authorized to talk to the press, told Business Insider. It's a part of Amazon's massive ambitions in healthcare. In November, it announced Amazon Pharmacy, a drug-delivering business in 48 states with steep discounts for Prime members. Through Amazon Care, the $1.6 trillion shipping giant is getting into the business of actual medical services for the first time, dealing with patients, their protected health information, and their doctors.

My pain management specialist used telehealth for a while, but stopped. It WAS great. Monthly visits are pretty much forced. It's a 5 minute meet up to just go through the particulars.

Well that will cause a bit of a dip today.

Perfect timing
The pharmaceutical component makes sense due to their logistical prowess. My wife is a pharmacist and Amazon jumping in has been the elephant in the room for a while.
ETA: I'm busy this morning and can't check it, but last I read, Amazon basically built a virtual nurses office. There's no indication, as of now, that they will expand into specialized medicine. "As of now" is the key, obviously.

I'll say it again, I picked a bad week to get into TDOC.
Concerning teleheath moving forward, our kid's pediatricians said they will stay with it. I think alot of doctors will adjust their business plan because volume can increase. Also, I'm sure at some point they will be able to charge more for a televist for the convienince.

Well...Peloton is approaching my sell price...that's nice at least.

TDOC, ETSY, and FVRR hate vaccine news. That much is apparent. They got destroyed when the news first came out.

Thank God I got distracted and didn’t purchase any yet. It’s now at $183. Eesh.

Yea, and it might not. Think about the process of going to the doc. You see the doc for 10 minutes, maybe 15. And they get paid twice as much to do face to face. It will come down to the specialty. Most Family med in my opinion will start with a Telehealth call and be followed up with a face to face if needed. Most specialties will not require such.

My career keeps me in Dr offices including PM's. They get paid half as much for telehealth.
You still in DQ?
