Dividend yield is a little over 8% and currently trading close to its 52 week low of $6.74.
Anyone see this as a good stock for the long haul?

It was a great covid buy under $1.
From what I’ve heard they have been struggling lately and have some units down. Could be the reason for low production and low stock price. Which means when they get back online the stock “should” rise

Held this stock for a while but it's a loser IMO. In a holding pattern due to production issues but its known they have bad management. Had key exec officers tender resignations recently. Musical chairs on board of directors. If that gives you confidence, have at it.
I'd buy if it hits less than $4.

IIRC, a poster here bet his 401k on it at the height of COVID. I never heard how he made out,

I do wonder if Lyondel Basell might just acquire Sasol. They're 50/50 on a bunch of stuff in the United States, and if I remember correctly, LB has been doing well both stock and earnings lately. They seem to be expanding operations.

I thought that arrangement was just for the Sasol Lake Charles site.

I starred buying in when it was just over $1 and was up over 500% awhile back, but now only up 65%. Had some great dividends. Gonna keep holding for now, but damn sure wish I would've sold a big chunk when I was way up.
How many of us, after raking in the lows of Covid, have said "I wish I would've sold stock X when it was at its high"? My portfolio and financial future would look a hell of a lot better right now.

After their massive fire taking offline a unit in Westlake production took a big hit.
That and the leadership in SA has been rough.
There probably is a play here somewhere once they bring their ethylene production back to fulloutput...
If you buy it don't hold it long once it pops a little. They will be down a while with the work needed to rebuild.
