So in early June I’m talking to my 17 year old son...he gives me a stock tip.

He has no idea regarding investing or the market but he saw me looking over some stuff and told me I should put some money into a company.
He is a really smart kid and into computers and he gave me an elevator pitch on a company and why he thinks they are about to do very well.
I looked into it a little and his info was solid. I put some in and set up a custodial account for him thinking it was a good opportunity for learning.
It was AMD

So has weed stocks. Big companies investing big time in CGC. But I will never forgive myself after not getting into SQ last year's when it was sub 30.

Yeah, but his point was that AMD was about to make several plays that were going to have it get over on NVIDIA and blow up.
He was right.
I got in at $15 in early June and it closed over $28 today.

Your son needs to learn the value of investing and good research. I’d give him a 20 percent cut of your profit as a teaching tool.
My dad did something similar to me. I recommended my dad invest in Apple after I read they were going all in on a product called the iPod. He gave me half of his profits, it was about $6000 to a college kid, which I promptly blew and got two lessons in one!

As I said, when he gave me that tip I saw a teaching opportunity and set him up a custodial account.
I’m afraid all I have taught him is that an 80% climb in three months is normal, lol.

I like NXTTF - is about ready to go off pretty well I think. Also cgc. Trades at a much higher price. Nxttf is at $2.30.
