Closing / early after hours trading has been fricky the last few days, including accusations hedge funds had been trading the same shares back and forth at a low amount to depress value.

And not because there’s a technical error that needs to be fixed, but because the price is just too high, in the chairman’s opinion.
No, and I don’t mean to insinuate that very specific situation is a common occurrence. Sorry if it came across that way.
I’m saying that restricting buy orders of a stock, particularly a volatile stock, happens. It happens at the discretion of the firm and the firm’s discretion will decide when buying can resume, if ever.

Damn down 7% immediately after hours lol

When the firm’s discretion isn’t made clear and in advance, expect a lot of traders to start moving elsewhere.

But they will state they are restricting it for liquidity reasons or due to other technical factors.
When is the last time a stock has been limited to sell only due to a fundamental disagreement of the price?
The guy fricking said people should invest their money in other companies who are doing well and that they are doing it specifically to prevent the hedge funds and brokerage houses who created this situation from being the bagholders. The actual squeeze was imminent.
The reason they are fighting this one is because the whole world knows what is supposed to happen. It’s not like previous squeezes where a very small number of people were able to figure it out right before or as it was happening.
Idk how anyone can say the action of artificially and intentionally suppressing demand in this manner was a well known and expected outcome.

So what happens now? Will there be any movement over the weekend? Do the hedge funds continue to pay interest over the weekend?

Think about all the call options below the $320 strike that are going to be exercised at 100 shares each.
The fact everyone held their ground today sets a much larger stage for next week
