I wonder if there were some dark pool trades taking place.

Yep.
The shorters have most of their calls coming due tomorrow.
Their choices are take the loss, push back the short another few days, or find a way to break the share price.
They have refused to do the first, they have done the second several times already and are getting eaten alive on interest, and they are trying to do the third but not quite successful.

It just makes his situation spiral more and more out of control.

If we were that close to it, the shorters should have bitten the bullet and taken the losses.
I’m terrified that it has gotten out of control and the people who need to close will refuse. We are in a very dangerous stand off right now

There will be suicides.

I’m convinced this is all just a simulation. Logic and rationality are long gone.

Are y’all setting sell limits? Reddit supposedly set theirs at 1000 but then they were talking about bumping it
Eta: I’m down for 950 but I don’t want it to go up to 1500 or something and miss out

Yes, 1000%. I think only the volume of those get reported.
Most of the covering is occurring outside of market hours. That’s why it’s run up every evening and every morning.

If you want out at $1000, go $990 or something. There will be so many sell orders at $1000, I think you’d have a better chance at getting a fill just shy.

I’m at el Gaucho level minus a dollar

So GME traded at $112 today, I wonder how many people lost their life savings on that drop.

Very few.
No one is selling.
That is the "problem".
The price drop is almost 100% artificial. Damn near all of retail has been shutout from trading and they are refusing to sell. Especially when they see it hit 500+ . This is the issue. In the past, wall street could easily bully the frick out of people and send this bitch crashing and no one would be the wiser. They would just think "Oh frick abandon ship." Now the general public knows exactly what's going on, damn near in real time, and the tactics aren't working. This is a big problem.
Robinhood is filling small sell orders at over 2k a share because they don't have any shares to deliver.

I feel bad for the people who had stop limits set and lost it on that clearly manipulated drop.
This was me. I had about $3000 in GME and the stop loss kicked in and sold for $2500. I’ve got no problem losing money trading, but it had me hot that it was when people were being restricted from trading, there was zero volume happening, and yet the stock was plummeting. That’s what I get for actually working today

So do short still have to cover? Do we have a reliable short float%? Or is it just gonna be retail cutting each other’s throats on the “true” way down?

I don't know what's going to happen. I truly feel we are on a tipping point in history right now. It's exhilarating and also scary as frick.
