SLV top was $47 in May 2011.

I have a friend who went in huge on SLV about that time. I tried to warn him on the huge bubble and to be very cautious. He blew me off.

The other guy said May 2011. That sounds right...

I've been buying physical silver on the fall, but I jumped the gun a little. I'm priced in at $24...

I need to buy more now to bring that down, but that would be a big silver purchase and money for things like that are about to be spent on Christmas.

That said, I'm not looking to make a killing on it, I just want something physical to diversify.

I'm regretting being greedy and waiting for 18.35 (LO) when I could have gotten 8.37.

I am only 5 cents per share from breaking even. Yay.

Has anyone seen a correlation coefficient between SLV and a relative value of USD?

If it makes you fill any better I've been long the USD vs. the EUR and NZD and have been hit about like you have. It has been interesting to me that with the dollar dropping there has been no PM response.

Pre Market has SLV up over 1%. Hopefully it pushed into the mid 19s today.

Then comes the decision, do I hold on with my original plan and hope it runs up into the low 20's or do I sell out in the high 19s

Im so fricking confused on what is pushing Silver higher all of a sudden...

Is it the fact that the economy is improving and technology that uses silver will be in high demand or is it that with an impending taper coming and thoughts that the market will pull back, silver is up as a hedge

I think it is because of all those bitcoins being minted using silver!

I don't try to make sense of my trades. If I do, I usually lose a lot.

I'm an Iowa football fan. I'm a buyer of silver. Real silver. Silver that I can touch and feel. I'm a trader of paper. e.g. SLV and PSLV.

Interesting article here:

LINK

You guys have a great message board. The trolls on the Iowa board think I'm rich cuz I like to post about investing. I have spent some time on your football boards, and it seems you have trolls and idiots also.

Good luck against us on New Year's Day. Good luck on silver.

The other trade I have going right now is a VIX and VXX trade for February and march. Timing it for the next debt ceiling/gubmit shutdown.
