Not sure if there is a thread about this or not, but Yahoo!Finance just changed up their some of their features when you're looking up a company...
I'm a fan of the "Next earnings date" that was added personally. Thought that tid bit has been long overdue instead of looking it up through a filing notice or earnings calendar.

I do heart their economic and earnings calendars.

My last 4 trades:
Jan 4 - Buy COF @ $44.40
Jan 4 - Buy CCJ @ $18.90
Jan 19 - Sell COF @ 48.60
Jan 20 - Buy UNG @ $5.08
I'm pretty much loving life right now. I only wish I had a little more in the game.

I bought a few blocks of LNG on margin in December. Swimming in cash in this one.

My dad loves that stock. I got him to sell out of it at around 10 bucks a while back.
Do you think it's a hold or buy still?
Can you give me a few points?

Passed L1. No big deal around these parts but it's still nice to have tangible recognition of your abilities.
Had 3 non->70% sections. Econ and Quant were two. The former has never been my strong point outside of monetary policy. Quant I'm good at but botched some of the more intricate stats stuff.
Somehow the other one was portfolio management, which is the easiest damn section on the test. I do not know how that happened. I will blame Georgia and fatigue.

Taking 2 in the summer? Congrats. Are you working or what?

If I wasn't doing anything I would consider it, but I'm not in any rush. Highly unlikely I would pass first time around given time constraints and I'm not wanting to need to be all-in. I'm putting in 60 at a law/consulting firm so I'm content with not having to study for once. Workload isn't Ath-caliber but I've got enough going on.
I should be close to sealing a gig with one of the Big 4 doing valuation work so next June I'll ideally be good to go for L2.

Congrats on passing and the assumed B4 job.
Are you working at J&J? How long have you been there?

Yeah we average in the 60s usually. I'm not complaining. B4 val = longer hours, less money.

Yep. Since October '10.

We do a lot of work for B4 val groups here. In fact I'm doing shite for one right now and a bunch of it (unsurprisingly) comes in in Jan/Feb. The difference is our turnaround on the project is like a week and a half instead of a month or more.

Has anyone else noticed that recruiters (campus hire) are usually very good looking? All the recruiters I have been in contact have been good looking it is pretty interesting.

This anecdote was truly the definition of the thread title...well done haha
O and ya...makes sense. Want to make the firm look "good". O and you're dealing with people in HR so that's another reason they're easy on the eyes.

Assume you went to Ole Miss? No doubt that most recruiters are typically fairly young, attractive females. Of the 5-6 accounting firms I interviewed with, they always sent the more attractive females and the more "suave" looking partners/senior managers.

So I am doing a comp search for an online gold broker. One of the comps capital iq gave me was Zwei.com, described as:
or as an associate just called it, "its like a human e-bay."

Zwei Co., Ltd. engages in the provision of matrimonial services in Japan. It primarily offers marriage partner introduction and bridal services.

I still attend Ole Miss and am applying at the big 4 for next spring. Speaking of which, does anyone have a good book for interviews?

Jan 20 - Buy UNG @ $5.08
The play here is to short UNG indefinitely (look at the chart)....well always open a position on a rally as you have to close the position to actually make money. This ETF is set to lose money the way it is structured.

I think DUG is the same way if you want more running room.
