Thanks. I've gotta do some stuff before I get on the road tomorrow, but I will be hitting it hard tonight. I'll give you a shout later on

My buddy sent me a text at 2 asking if I was free and wanted to meet him at this bar.

Haha, this office on a Friday is a lot different than my last job. People aren't even slowing down.

People are working but you can tell people are tired. They'll all be here tomorrow or Sunday though.
PS: My excel skills are reaching ninja level, off the charts improvement in a week and a half.

Nah, I wore a polo today. The younger underwriters and analysts all do it, but the old guys don't.
I'm stuck in a cubicle all day, no one ever sees me, I don't think anyone cares.

Yeah, I was kidding about the short-sleeve button-up.

We just talked about this at lunch. Its so much easier to do in college. I don't get up early enough to go run at 6 AM, and I don't have the energy to do it when I get home at 830. My solution is to park 9 blocks away from work and effectively walk about 1.8 miles each day.
Wait to you get into your 40's. Sporadically worked out the last three years, but nothing special. Started back on the dumbbells 6-weeks ago, amazing how fast the strength comes back but still need to lose the beer weight. Might get some kettlebells for shits and giggles. At this time there is no way I could be in a cube in an office for 70+ hrs a week, every week, money or no money. I feel for you guys, gots to pay to play.
Why do people that bought TIPS at auction or when the hedgies were fire selling them in 2008 and bought at a significant discount and with 2.25% - 2.65% coupons believe they are getting a negative yield due to reading stupid articles? Lets see, accreted inflation factor has increased the bond value x coupon rate = money. I read the stupidest shite by people claiming to be bright, it was not on this board.

I'm not at 70 yet.
I'll be at 50 at the end of the day, might get up to 60 this weekend, but that's probably up to me. Clients keep dragging, just stretching out the work longer.

Work more, you are letting us down.

We were just talking about people getting tickets and I said "brake tag" and teh Houstonians were all like WTF. Luckily my boss was in here (from NO) and he explained it to them.

Let's get some stock talk going here. There are some DEALS right now on the market!

Interesting read from ZH about overall market sentiment and some color on broad Q2 earnings/guidance trends. If you know someone at Goldman who can get you on the sub list for Krostin's weekly email, I highly suggest you do it. GS Market Read
Talking w/ dozens of guys who managed multi bn dollar funds on a daily basis and getting their take on market sentiment/money flows is one thing I miss about not being on the buy-side anymore.

I hear you on that. I am about to start begging for BW daily observations pretty soon.

CAT has got my attention. Hey who else is hoping for a bloody Monday to jump into some beaten up stocks? I got some powder that I'm ready to unload.

Currently sitting at the Starbucks in the huge mall across the street from my apartment pirating the Insanity DVD off of their free wifi. Pure gangster.

There are about 15 Japanese people that just walked out, and they are all wearing suits and carrying bouquets of flowers. They've been inside since I got here. So confused. eta: Crazy bum sat down next to me at Starbucks after asking me for money. Just spent 5 minutes using his big gulp cup as a cell phone babbling loudly. Meanwhile I read Athanatos' link. An interesting day.

I am fat and have a shitty job. This thread has completely demoralized me.

I'm not sure why, I'm out of shape/overweight and don't even have a full time job.
