You can add Wells Fargo and BoA to the list of horrible. My wife has her business loan (originally $1M) and her clinic building mortgage (originally $400k) with WF and she got nothing from them. Wife's colleague is with BoA and got nothing also. They both have countless stories on others in their field getting nothing.

Business first bank in Baton Rouge took good care of me.

I can vouch for ServisFirst. They have excellent customer service in general and got our PPP approved quickly.

We had all our information into Hancock Whitney for 10 days and they dropped the ball
We went to first national on Tuesday and were approved on Wednesday.
Will be moving offices from Whitney.

I'm looking at opening an account this week with one of the "good" banks. I was looking at Iberia, Fidelity, and First Bank and Trust. My concern is that some banks have been saying you need to have a business account opened as of 2/15/20 to apply for the loan with them. Does anyone who used one of these banks have any insight on that issue? Obviously, I can find out myself on Monday, but curious if anyone can answer.

So if they want your business, they should relax this requirement for you.

I’ve talked to two different business owners that got totally screwed over by Capital One with this crap. One had been with them for 35 years. Meaning they had been with one of the banks that Capital One purchased.
I’m really thinking hard about moving all of my personnel accounts away from those jackasses
20 plus years for me, several business accounts there, all sitting and trusting them to screw me over. They will lose many accounts over this.

Yes on the peace out to Capital One and sure they are going to get many middle fingers coming their way, along with a few other banks.

Yeah just wanted to jump in and voice my support of shutting on chase. They really didn’t help anyone except large businesses

I’ve tried to keep it updated as much as I can. I’ll keep going and welcome any suggestions anybody has for trying to see what banks/branches/bankers are worthy of our business.

Here is Chase’s email where they admit they screwed up, but only because they didn’t keep anyone updated. As if the communication issue was the problem and not the fact that they screwed over small businesses and almost fraudulently helped big businesses, instead.
Even my accountant does not know of any true small businesses helped by chase.

Dear Business Client, As predicted, the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program was hugely popular. In fact, we have learned the SBA has approved loans that will exhaust all the funding available for the initial round. We have notified all of our customers who received funding in the first round. We understand that many of you are disappointed, and are frustrated because we haven’t updated you on the status of your application. We will do better, starting in the next few days. Congress is currently considering another round of funding. In the interim, we’re committed to: • Continuing to work our existing queue of applications so we can be ready, • Contacting you with any questions, • Emailing you on the status of your application and • Letting you know if and when additional SBA funding is available We realize how important these SBA funds are to your business. We’re doing all we can to have your application ready. Thank you for being a Chase customer. We will keep updating chase.com/cares with the latest information. Sincerely, Jennifer Roberts CEO, Chase Business Banking

Started setting up accounts at my local credit union and moving accounts from Capital One last Wednesday. I could qualify for PPP, but I don’t need and will not apply. It just pisses me off that they screwed those that do need it.

Same. Nashville office was on point and worked their asses off. I was getting emails late night/early morning that things were progressing.

I've been with Campus Federal since I opened up my business accounts with them in 2016. I have been disappointed in their service for the most part and have wanted to leave, but ultimately I'm glad I didn't. I reached out to them at the beginning of this process and they said that they were not participating. Literally 30 minutes after applying for the PPP through Gulf South, they emailed me saying that they were going to participate. I sent in all the requested information and it was a breeze.
I have to hand it to them, they got their act together and I was highly impressed with the results. They didn't have docusign, so I had to manually drop off the loan papers, but the loan was funded shortly after.
In the beginning I thought I'd be screwed not dealing with a larger bank, but I'm glad I don't have any accounts with any of the big banks anymore.
