But AT&T has to be the WORST. Called to schedule service connection at my newly built house: AT&T disconnected my old number before determining that my new 'hood didn't have cable run to each lot. It took 31 working days to get the cable run, then another 2 weeks to get the service connected. During this period, I was burning through cell minutes trying to deal w/AT&T's centrally organized customer service department....many disconnects, many useless CSRs who would insist "I've elevated your request". Only after I threatened to cancel ALL of my AT&T services (cell, internet, home phone) did they finally offer to credit me 100 cell minutes. What a joke---I'd used 120 minutes that day alone dealing w/AT&T.

45 days without a phone. At the end of it, I really wondered whether I needed service at all. Ditched At&t cell, now w/Verizon. Thinking of switching to Cox for internet.

AT&T FTW.

AT&T is the devil with cell phones, but they are so good (product quality wise not customer service wise) with their cable and internet services that I can't include them on the list. I had Uverse Internet with them before I moved a month ago and it was spectacular. It just worked...all day, every day. I never once had an issue with the internet or cable going down. My Cox internet has worked for only 20 days out of the 30 I've had it and their customer service is almost as bad. I'd stick with AT&T for internet if I were you. Cox throttles your download speeds, and consistently cuts off completely for no reason.

I got a gift card for Sears over the holidays. Went online, ordered an indoor grill...

...and they sent me another gift card instead. No grill ever showed up and no communication on what happened.

WTF?

Wen Hair Care Products. Go read their Better Business Bureau complaints. Absolute joke of a company--no ethics whatsoever.

I can't even recall the last time I stepped in a Sears - had to be at least 6 or 7 years ago. There's not one located near me, I don't like their clothes, and I get appliances and tools at other places.

It's a combined company with KMart, so I was curious if KMart crappiness had crossed over to Sears.

The U.S. Postal Service would be out of business except for taxpayer subsidies. It's customer service is not awful, but it is an economic disaster.

ETA: Amtrak is probably worse, but I didn't think of them when I made this post.

Hertz

Whatsamatta? They don't have cars that fit fat asses?

I love Hertz. This week, I got a new (5 miles on odometer) Nissan Altima with leather, satellite and six banger. $30 a day. Unlimited miles. I put on 865 miles in four days.

Last week, I paid the same rate. Got free upgrade to a Volvo S80.
