The pawn/pay day loan business is likely to be a target by a govt that wants to make political points and patronize their base.
I agree with you on the payday loans, but why the pawn shops?

It's all about the doofus known as Chumley, one can't make that shite up.

OK, I have to pretend I'm on the OT and make a spelling correction. Albeit an obscure one.

It's pronounced like "Chumley" but actually spelled "Cholmondeley". One of those weird Scottish names.

I love Pawn Stars

I love the show as well.......It's funny because I've been tempted into going into a pawn shop just to check things out, though everytime I've passed one the place looks pretty shady and I keep on driving. Though I guess your run of the mill pawn shops don't contain any bizarre items like people bring in on the show.

Wrong, from the history channel

Where did Chumlee get his nickname? Friends in elementary school took the name from cartoon character Tennessee Tuxedo’s sidekick, a walrus named Chumley

that sums him up nicely...

As well as sacrificial lamb. Here Chumlee, shoot this bow with questionable structural integrity. Hey Chumlee, test fire this degraded 125 year old gun. Etc, but the holiday garb was the best, one can't make this stuff up.
