Staking is the end game for Link. It’s where people put up Link as collateral in nodes. Basically the thought is Link is the incentive to make sure correct data is delivered. You want to secure a billion dollar derivative contract you are using a node that has a significant amount of Link and a high reputation. Link limited supply means supply will all be locked in nodes thus making the price and demand sky rocket.
