Also, why the frick does coinbase list eth at 763, then when you go to buy it, list it at like 771
price is always moving

No. I checked several times.

For instance, it says 763, then on the buy page says 771 then tacks on the $8 fee bringing the total to 779.

Then when you go right back to the price page it’s still around 763ish

I’d rather them just say they are charging 16 bucks and honor the fricking price.

How is it they got a monopoly on this to where you basically have to go through them?

They say they add 50 points due to market fluctuations because they lock in your price for 30 seconds. That’s bullshite. They better return that on the tail end when I sell it. They basically admit to stealing money.

China getting in on the FUDing.

The next article down is a little more positive and provides some perspective.

It's a combination of a bunch of different factors. Lots of profit taking from the insane 2017 runs, the bubble needed to come back to Earth, governments and businesses on an all out assault the last few weeks.

Aye. But I'm waiting to see what happens at 700. I wouldn't buy anything for at least 24 hours right now.

At this point my portfolio is 1/3rd the value it was just a couple of months ago. I stopped logging into Coinbase and Binance to check. It is taking a lot of will power to not sell.

Any idea what is driving this downturn and if it is here to stay? Will the crypto market in general come back?

This downturn is more nebulous than the last one. I think it's more indicative of a general bear sentiment than any specific event. There was more fud out of China but really nothing we weren't already expecting.

I think the market will come back but it won't be a shite fest of every coin going green. Hope your portfolio is full of coins with world use applications as those are likely to be the ones to actually benefit from the downturn.
