From another source:
That's downright devious right there. Not even an exploit of the smart contract code. Just a "simple" user interface hack to grant permissions. Damn. Stay safe, everyone.

While the investigation is still ongoing, members of the Badger team have told users that they believe the issue came from someone inserting a malicious script in the UI of their website. For any users who interacted with the site when the script was active, it would intercept Web3 transactions and insert a request to transfer the victim’s tokens to the attacker’s chosen address.

I need to do some research on yield farming since I'm not familiar with it, but yeah, this looks tempting as hell to try with a little money.

Strong Node for $4750 looking pretty good compared to a month ago at $10k+. Of course, the return isn't as great at this price.
I was considering buying a node when it was above $1000 but the price kept trickling down. Still considering it however I'm concerned about Eth 2.0 and what happens to these nodes. Do they just evaporate with Eth 2.0? I'm sure that's not the case but the rewards may significantly decrease because gas prices are supposed to come down a lot with Eth 2.0.

For the board...just got off an AMA with Prometheus, CEO of HectorDAO, and he stated that in the next 10 days they will be announcing a partnership to be listed on a top 10 centralized exchange. Discord speculation is that it's KuCoin or FTX.
It's going to be interesting to see how that works. You will be able to buy HEC on the exchange, transfer to your wallet then stake it on their app or will will you be able to stake it directly from the exchange? We'll see I guess. As a owner of wsHEC I like the exposure.

honestly a real governor would be forward thinking and be calling conferences with the top Crypto miners and top crypto people in general and would be doing everything he could to turn the laffayette, br and nola areas into tech havens through tax breaks and whatever else they can do.
quote:Op-Ed: Why Louisiana should lead the world in Bitcoin mining
but in LA we have the #1 coast in the US for wind power and we have crazy amount of Nat gas and oil resources along with refining. we should be killing crypto and tech in general.
But American Bitcoin mining is not spread across the United States equally. States like New York, Kentucky, Georgia and Texas have been leading the way thanks to lower energy costs and access to low carbon energy. Given Louisiana’s natural advantages, why has the state not become a hub for mining activity?
One reason is simply because political leaders have failed to make Bitcoin mining a priority. In Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott hosted meetings with Bitcoin mining associations on how miners can move their operations to Texas. Texan political leaders believe that Bitcoin mining will not only create jobs, but strengthen the state’s electrical grid and help prevent outages from occurring like they did last winter.
Political leaders in Louisiana should follow the leads of other states. It may only take a visionary political leader to meet with and sell Bitcoin enthusiasts on the potential of inexpensive and abundant energy to open the floodgates for a new industry to set up shop in Louisiana. It’s time for Louisiana to embrace innovative new industries like Bitcoin. The marriage of Louisiana’s natural resources and a new innovative industry can put Louisiana’s economy on a new path to prosperity.

Nukes like this after periods that have been flat to down are generally not good signs. I’ll get downvoted for being realistic and not saying $100k next week but after the relief bounce I think this thing is done for now. The macro headwinds just too strong.
