not tanking until it gets near those ranges, it would need to break a lot of support.

This is exactly right. When I initially bought in I said this exact thing to myself. It happened a week and a half ago and will again. Never miss an opportunity to cash in on something that has so many uniformed and uneducated people involved

It's like anything else, people are gonna take profits and when it looks like it's falling apart to everyone who doesn't have a clue what's happening they start selling too and you have a crash
