I wouldn't mind this but I don't see us going back sub 30. my opinion is based on pretty much nothing FWIW. Seems like FUD isn't bothering price as much lately.

I’d be cool with that as long as I had a heads up to sell now and meet up back at the bottom and buy more lol

The merge is slated for late 2021/early 2022.

Is there some kind of Coinbase scam going around? I got an email from Coinbase saying someone sent me 0.0000001 XLM. Which is $0.00. Almost like they’re testing to see if my account is active and hackable or something.

That’s sounds pretty sketch. Sending you $0.0 is pretty much a kick in the ballz

I didn’t request anything so I don’t care about the amount. It seems pretty scammy to send an account $0.00. Like they’re fishing

correct and theyre marketing it as deflationary (and so far, its still inflationary since eip1559)

defi just seems like the ultimate race to the bottom: lowest fees, highest yield wins

I think this is why Vitalik is now pushing for people to realize other use cases. Defi and NFTs will only carry Ethereum (and any programmable Blockchain) so far.

ugh. would love to get more under 40k

35k seems quite unlikely at this point

this infrastructure bill has brought crypto even more into the mainstream, adoption could accelerate depending on how this plays out politically

Bruh. DeFi is the entire US financial system. You can literally ICO a new project in the DeFi space. Yea. DeFi can absolutely carry.

These two use cases alone are worth tens of trillions of dollars

I still don't get the value of NFTs

Why is a jpeg worth a hundred grand?

Eth is hosted on AWS. it's the epitome of centralization and the changes being made are benefiting private institutions

retail will go elsewhere imo and they already are as we have seen binance smart chain, matic, Solana, hex and etc growing more than eth this year

why would this trend reverse?

I’ve got a use case for an NFT not tied to a collectible

say you’ve got security footage of someone committing a crime, or footage or a speech given by some prominent figure. As deepfakes become easier to generate, it stands to reason that the court of law or the public needs a way to differentiate between authentic footage/pictures and doctored and fraudulent footage/pictures. If the footage or pictures are timestamped with a “certificate of authenticity” and placed on a blockchain, it becomes possible to affirmatively trace back the original content and disregard fraudsters and would require a 51% attack to redistribute the certificate

I think digital art is only scratching the surface of a very deep and lucrative rabbit hole that NFT technology as a “certificate of authenticity” will give humanity

My comment was that DeFi couldn’t carry ETH. It 100% can. I’m not gonna sit here and act like it’s perfect.
