I’m not a believer in TA at all. I think to some extent it’s a self fulfilling prophecy but it is often just wrong.
Maybe it’s valuable within really short time windows like a few days

Market depth is critical to picking entry points. But you’re correct in that it is constantly changing.

Yeah I’m referring more to the pattern recognition component like when we look at an inverse head and shoulders and construct price targets from that
It sometimes works but I don’t have the conviction to bet on TA like that

TA shouldn’t be expected to be perfect even though some people do make claims of one thing or another. This is what turns people off about. It is meant to play the odds in your favor, not tell you exactly what will happen.
Most who do it will tell you there is a bit of self fulfilling prophecy and I think that’s fine if it gives you an edge. A lot of people get stupid with it with all kinds of stupid formations and stuff. Standard support vs resistance price action analysis can give you much more perspective than just looking at a chart.

Saw this on Twitter:
“ Here is a fun fact.
Last cycle Bitcoin topped and Ethereum topped 28 days later.
Care to guess how many days are between these two tops?”

Damn this is an impressive crash. Does it rebound at some point or is it crypto winter for three years? Would love to load up on ethereum sub $1,000 and cardano sub 50 cents.

I really need to stop reading these threads

I sold all my crypto two days ago. Now just waiting on the bottom.

I still see BTC hitting 6 figs in 2021 so maybe I'm the delusional one (not factoring nation state attacks as that would lengthen the rebound)

I’m familiar with the charts yes. Just thought we had another few innings left in this bull cycle but guess not.
Posted on 5/18/21 at 10:47 pm to GeneralLee
the bull run is over when we say the bull run is over
Posted on 5/18/21 at 10:47 pm to GeneralLee
it dipped further than this 3x in 2017...
