Fare enough. I think most here are hoping to turn 100s into 1000s or perhaps 1000s into tens of 1000s.
Hopefully no one got in over their heads. Cuz that would be incredibly unwise.

Are you denying the use of cryptocurrencies by hackers for untraceable transactions such as in the case of ransom-ware? I'm not using that fact as a knock against cryptocurrencies, it's just something that a long term investor should understand. For instance, if a news report comes out that the government works with so and so crypto currency to make all transactions traceable that will reduce its desirability due to the lack of black market use.

Good enough?

No one in here has said it isn't a gamble. It's been said in here over and over to put in what you are willing to lose.

appreciate the reply, but i dont think youd believe it was such a giant gamble if you truly understood the tech behind it

This is frighteningly misguided.
how so, im genuinely curious?
NEM will offer similar services (smart contracts, notary services, ENS, etc) but in its sphere its backbone for several alts
the blockchain infrastructure that the ETH platform utilizes will certainly have a marketplace of options and technologies but as of now its the main player.
with that sad, they will have to, of course, evolve and adapt or will eventually be left behind.

It just came across like the other thread where one of Broke's main arguments was that its used to buy drugs.

So not willing to lose every penny makes you a pussy? Sounds legit.

like anything in our history, there will be obstacles to overcome before its adopted (the gamble)
but the tech is there, that can not be denied

I read this bolded part as him admitting it's a gamble.
