Curious what your son/daughter transcript and ACT looked like to get full ride offer from Bama . My daughter wants to go to LSU, she’s currently a junior with a 4.0 gpa and 35 ACT. Unfortunately LSU is stingy with in state full ride scholarships so I may try to get her to consider other out of state institutions

So the deadline to do a Roth back door for 2022 calendar year was December 31? This is what my tax person told me. I just put in 6000 two weeks ago into traditional ira and then rolled into Roth IRA once funds settled. She is telling me that has to be counted for 2023 taxes. Is this correct?

So I have 150k in current plan sponsored 401k for my job right now...I rolled over some old 401ks into one rollover IRA account that I manage that has current balance of 500,000 with E*TRADE...

Can I still open a traditional IRA account with 6k and then rollover the 6k for 2020 into a Roth account without penalty? I’m not wanting to touch my other funds just create a new Roth account to enjoy tax free growth

I manage this account as it was from an old job and averaging typical 7-10 percent a year. I just rolled it over to E*TRADE and was able to pick high growth stocks like Pins, docu, Amazon, DKNG and a few others I really liked especially during the dips this year. Also am an avid biotech guy and Ocul, tcon, and tril killed it for me this year as long term holds into multiple catalysts

This is just a rollover 401k I have that I like to have fun with.....my wife and I each have 401ks we max out with current healthcare jobs. I was up 13% in my work 401k for the year.

I am a Physical Therapist at a Nursing Home in Central La and we have over 40 cases. Most of the people have hardly any symptoms at all and the few who do mostly complain of cold like symptoms. A couple did pass away but they were on hospice and already near end of life so hard to say Covid19 killed them.

Lol not unless you are retiring in the next 5-7 years. I’m in very aggressive too, just that many more shares I’ll get at these lower prices. This is all about interest rates going up meanwhile the economy itself is very strong. I expect a big rebound in the next few months. I’m just gonna let it ride but I’m in mid 30s and not worried about the short term. Just my opinion

Sure is, I called today and got a $50 and $30 discount for 12 months, $80 a month all from reading the message boards. Thanks guys
