RIP Wall Street interns.

I'm glad this is happening. It's been a long time coming. The technology has been there for a while.

This has been going on for years, just not for retail traders. Great move retail traders. Really sucks being locked out of the market while earnings and other news are made released and there is nothing I can do about it.

NASDAQ has to be close behind.

While they're at it they should stop being open for a half day the day after Thanksgiving

They are going in the wrong direction.

The NYSE should only trade 4 hours/day. Technology would allow for billions of shares to trade in those four hours/day, two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon, and it would put a damper on hedge funds and meme trading.

Active trading at 2 in morning is only going to encourage more meme trading with higher volatility.

This is a bigger deal than it’s being presented as. All earnings will either be released in the middle of the night or during trading hours. But there will be far less built in guaranteed volatility periods like open and close normally are for the market. Day traders may take a big hit
