The bulls and bears are battling it out right now around $200

You’re assuming they have an overall strategy. META just seems to wander around sticking their toes in things still living off Facebook and Insta money.

I would underestimate META at your own risk. Open source AI is the future outside of sensitive/highly regulated/secure tasks (ie: 99% of enterprise activities).
whatever they are doing now or want to do in the future is the opposite of wandering around

I'm not being rude I'm genuinely curious but what has Meta/Facebook done successfully outside of social media? The Horizon World and VR stuff was a colossal flop.

The Horizon World and VR stuff was a colossal flop.
couple that with their ability to sell excess AI compute and you’ve got, as I said, the opposite of wandering, as their massive AI related capex indicates

Reality labs lost 4.03 billion the 1st quarter of this year. Their total operating losses are 80 billion since 2020.

yes it’s been a massive financial drain on the buildout. No doubt. But so has been the space economy (just to use an example). And it has resulted in some pretty intriguing tech advancement. I don’t have reason to doubt their vision (pun intended)
anyway, META is not buying NBIS

Sharing anecdotal thoughts-
The AI story isn’t over yet.
I’ve seen companies complain about AI expenses without initially seeing ROI, which is a very real concern. But companies are just now truly working to implement AI into their front and back office processes. It’s still new.
And consider the alternative choice at this time- you’re a CEO/CTO. You don’t see immediate ROI so you decide to abandon the efforts while knowing your competitors might continue pushing. Game theory would suggest that’s unlikely. Not at this stage.
So we’re in the beginning, maybe the middle of the implementation phase. But we haven’t seen the real euphoria, IMO.
Does that mean Nebius can’t go to $150? Absolutely not. Of course it can. But I don’t think we’ve seen the ATHs just yet. GS models Nebius putting up $13bn revenue in 2027 & $24bn in 2028. I’m would welcome $150-175 on this drawdown.

Nebius is built for the Euphoria stage. Their competitors are hoping to get another hyperscaler contract, whereas the Nebius plan is selling their AI ecosystem to end users.

Bingo
The enterprise AI enabler.
NBIS will not end up being considered a data center slumlord like some names.

Need RKLB and NBIS to get back, two of my bigger positions in my speculative folder

Today was a huge day for NBIS.
