Max out 401k, and Roth.
Spend $5k/mth, and put the remaining $15k cash in savings
Once he gets enough to buy a house, buy one cash.
Then start saving again, until about $100k in cash.
Then figure it out. I’m sure that revenue stream won’t last forever

Buying a house in cash at 20 is a dumb allocation of capital. Ramsey is strong is that post.

I'd rather pay taxes on $70K today rather than $70k+40 years of growth.
Now compound the growth of the $25k of taxes saved now. The government is going to get their share one way or another.

glad i went to law school and have been grinding in out for 20 plus years. think I'll go jump off a bridge now. congrats to your son.
Honestly the same. Congrats to this guys son but i wish we would tax the frick out of useless shite like roblox and remove all taxes for people who put out real work. Again, not trying to take away anything but this is a joke.

But that’s exactly what you are doing. His son found a market for his work that is paying more than the market where you’ve chosen to participate in. Wishing ill on others for things completely out of your control is not a good look. Literally nothing his son did affects you other than reading a post and you showing that you can’t handle other people finding success.
Do better.

And onlyfans models make tons of money as well.
A roblox game that pulls in $40-50k at a mere 5% stake is insane.
Its a complete 0 value added to material existence, if that matters to anyone anymore.
But i get it, Americans generally arent concerned about 2nd order effects.
Most Americans would sell you shite from the ground if you'd buy it.

Wishing ill? Because I think useless entertainment shite should be taxed? Porn should be taxed heavier, Hollywood should be taxed more.
Doctors should pay 0 taxes, nurses should pay 0 taxes, people who work materially beneficial jobs should be taxed 0.
Entertainment income should be taxed to absolute hell.
You mad about that?

But it’s not a complete 0 value add. The fact that he’s able to make money shows that isn’t the case. Just because you don’t think it’s worth anything doesn’t mean it isn’t to others.
And I’m not mad, but I’ll never understand why anyone would argue for more taxes on anything.

Why? They perform an essential materially beneficial service. We should incentivize people to pursue jobs that provide a material benefit instead pursuing the development of games that are basically.gambling for children.

The cartel is even wealthier. Does the cartel add value to the world?

Objectively, we know of many things that are not good. Are you arguing for a relative system of values?

Because there are certain things we need and certain things that provide no material value.

What??
So you’d rather pay 6-7%, instead of make 3-4%??

Drugs and porn have a well documented history of being net negatives on our society.
I’m not equating video game development to either of those industries.
I’m curious, where do you draw the line at restaurant owners? A basic need is food but should they be taxed the same as doctors and nurses? It’s a need same as health care. Right?
Clearly, you’ve got in your head entertainment of all forms (video games/tv/movies/ I’m guessing books) don’t add any value anywhere.
For the record I understand the point you are making. It sucks that entertainers make more than teachers, nurses and most doctors. We absolutely should incentivize the jobs and careers that add value to our world and country. But incentivizing by using taxes is a damn slippery slope.

I hope you aren’t actually an attorney and don’t represent people, you come off as a total moron.
Unless you’re just drawing up boilerplate paper work…. Which is useless to society and should be eliminated. Like what you’re bitching about

If you think in terms of 40 to 45 years for the kid - every dollar invested now will be $75 to $100 in 2065. Tax free.

100% setup LLC and do a SEP IRA. Can put like 70k into per year. No fees or need for someone to set it up. Takes a few minutes on vanguard/fidelity

Nothing to contribute other than congratulations! That's awesome. Make sure to do a little celebrating with it. You only get one life to live and most of us dont get to do it with that kind of head start.
