why don't y'all ever call these places and find out?

I think it's somewhere around 20k initiation and like 800/mo with F&B minimum etc.

more or less but that's close based on my last convo with a member

Really didn't know that you could just ring them up and get this type of information.
All I really need to know at this point is do you have to buy stock and how much is it?

Not sure on MCC dues. Southern Yacht Club was 10k a few years ago.

You get reciprocity with MCC, I think it's about 5 visits per year. Also with other yacht clubs.

The kids love the pool and we practically live there during the summer.

I think the $800/month is right. I think initiation is closer to $35k last I inquired.

For a large city's primo club, that's actually fairly cheap. A lot of major metropolitan areas will see their top clubs go for well into the 6 figures initiation fee and have a wait list.

Wrong question. The question is “What don’t you get with that?”

If you have to ask you can’t afford it.

Not sure why this got downvotes. Multiple cc in Atlanta have $100k+ initiation and 2-3 year waitlist to join, and another multi-year waitlist for golf.

There are other places that are close to $30k, and the ones that used to have no initiation are $10k today.

It is my understanding that Metairie has allowed a Westbank member into its establishment. Just saying.

I’m fairly new to the area and have been inquiring as of late. From the information I have been able to obtain, MCC is quite the value compared to the other private club in the city.
