I didn't know GS was in this business until I heard them talk about this week on CNBC.

It looks like it could a good alternative for both borrowers and savers.

Yeah been doing it for a little while...but I see 2.25% listed not 2.5% ---> typo maybe?

These high yield savings accounts are really good tools. A risk free 2+% is a good deal these days. Barclays and Purepoint are two others that are good to use. Purepoint has the highest I know of at 2.35%.

That’s a good savings interest rate but the fine print makes it clear it’s an introductory offer that can change at any time “before or after account is opened.”

I use them. They have increased the rates three times as the market adjusted. No complaints so far.

I'd say most savings accounts likely have similar disclaimers in their fine print as well

But I did notice that one was pretty clear

Do you mean their "Cash Management" product?

Their site still says coming soon.

I've been using them and our firm has been recommending them for about 2-3 years now. The only adjustments they have made is to increase when the Fed increases their target. Not saying they will never go down but they have a been a great tool to have for cash savings.

I use Marcus despite the name!
No problems and rates have gone up over the last 2 years without having to do anything. Its better than any bank around me.

True but I have been with them for about a year now and have only seen increases in rates, no drops so far. *knock on wood*

So far from 1.75% (i think) to 2.25%.
