Do you mean your TURNITIN score didn't increase inspite of pulling content from your skill builder ? If so, it would be nice because i'm pulling half of the content from skill builder. How soon can you resubmit the paper after first attempt ? If I get turnitin report instantly, can i resubmit the paper within an hour?
I used quite a bit of skill builder content. I heavily edited it so it both flowed well and wouldn't trigger TurnItIn. Supposedly it's ok if it does get flagged by TurnItIn, but I wanted to minimize any reason Meeks may have to go digging for a reason to drop points.
The TurnItIn score comes back within about 30 minutes at most. You can resubmit it three times within a 24 hour period and get a score, after that you have to wait 24 hours. Given that the paper is due in about 16 hours, you'll only have three chances today.

What is the key to get good score in synthesis paper ? Is it quality of writing or volume ?
Read the rubric in the "Getting Started" section on Moodle.
Generally, high word count is the biggest factor for Meeks. 4000+ words, 250+ word abstract, 11+ references, 250+ words per section.

Do we need to include the same titles as is in the template such as Strategic Management and the nature of Business"and all others as mentioned?
No. You can move the sections around, delete them, change the titles, whatever you want.

Don't worry about understanding. Don't anticipate any application type questions. Anticipate WORD FOR WORD definitions of terms or agencies. As (unrelated) examples, do NOT expect an application question like:
Remember you can manually change the font size lower than 8. I used 6 point Arial Narrow. It makes it hard to read, but you really have a ton of time.
Scan any text for words you don't understand. Look for a definition or explanation immediately preceding or following it. If there isn't one, you won't be required to actually attempt to think or connect any dots to something in the next paragraph, just move on.
This is the exact strategy to use for ISDS 705 with Lin. It's not about understanding the material, it's about making notes of anything that is an acronym, a definition, a list, or anything you think you need to know word for word on a test. The test is literally an exercise in how good of a note taker you are.

I just got an email from the MBA program telling me I need to take a 35 question Proctorio proctored end of program exam as part of their AACSB accreditation. While this is not a "test" as they put it (wont impact GPA, graduation or anything) I wonder what the content will be like. Hoping its not ISDS705 heavy! Anyone else get this email?

Yeah, I just got that too.
Exactly why do I have to take a proctored exam that isn't graded and doesn't affect my GPA or graduation status?

I'm assuming its AACSB hoops you need to jump through. I don't remember what I had for breakfast, I'm probably not going to do all that well on this exam. I want to do well since AACSB is one of the main reasons I went to LSUS and if that goes away I'll probably circular file my diploma.

What I don't understand is why this is coming up right this moment, less than 72 hours away from the term ending and 10 days from commencement, right in the middle of the holidays. They've been doing Fall AP2 degree checkout paperwork since October and haven't mentioned anything. I wonder if people who completed the program in Fall AP1 and have been done with the program for 8 weeks had this dropped in their lap as well?
This is now the second time this term that Dr. Knotts has sprung last minute, surprise twists on things I'm involved in. The first was her demand to change the entire focus and structure of ISDS 710 mid-term with no warning. Now we get this surprise.
I feel like I've been living in the LSUS version of an M. Night Shyamalan movie the past 5 weeks. I'm so glad this is over.

That's the point, I thought this was over, it's the gift that keeps on giving. Honestly I'm not surprised, the last exam is representative of the program as a whole, cobbled together and disorganized.

Have you taken it yet?

I've been done since October and I got the email as well. I don't even remember what Moodle is much less how to log in. I did the mind-dump about an hour after my last exam.

Anyone have any advice on who's the better teacher for MADM 760? I'm signed up for Heller but I see they've opened a section with McLaughlin in AP2. I want na experience where I learn useful information and that is random busy work or crazy long papers.

Seems like McLaughlin MADM 760 is very manageable, compared with Heller which has more workload. I can only take one class per term so I am considering McLaughlin MADM 760 or FIN 701 with Choi for AP2

Not yet. I'm going to take it after the 16th when I have that paper in hand. I'm not taking any chances...

Congrats @GeauxUF! Will you be attending the commencement ceremony? I'm in Atlanta also. Hope to finish in time for the May 2019 ceremony, which I will be attending.

Nope, I'm staying right here in the ATL. Well, OTP, anyhow.

Marketing 701 with A. Darrat: Does anyone recall what book was used when books were used? I'd like to take a preemptive strike at some reading in hopes of easing the tension when the course starts.

If there are no repercussions for not taking this exam then why would anyone take this exam after the fact? They didn't do a great job in framing out why they are asking this from us. If its merely a tool to improve then why have it proctored? If its an AACSB requirement, then why not explicitly state that? The latter would make me more inclined to participate only because I value that accreditation maybe more so than they do.
