pretty much the same way I intended on approaching the final as well. I knew he would do that.

Yikes. This does not make me feel better. Was the practice test at least fairly similar to the actual one?

I just took it and bomb horribly. I had an A and now I have a C.

MKT 701 Exam 3:

I felt pretty good going in, but made a 52! Very uncharacteristic for me, I just can’t believe it. I was also pretty confident that I had done well when I submitted it. Something fishy going on, I believe.

Exam 3 MKT 701

Didn’t even read the slides he gave. 66%. Finished slightly below an A. Oh well.

Similar in format - but added confusion to the math / calculations. Very purposely confusing, reliant upon inferences - not taught knowledge/material. I made a 78% (22 of 28) on it and Ive been in finance / accounting for 15 years, barely scraped a 90 in the class to keep an A. I guess it’s worth adding that I didn’t study at all for the final, knowing that it would do no good. I could have studied it for 3 days straight and probably made the same grade...but I kept an A so it is what it is

Just wrapped up the final. Missed an A by 1 freaking point in the class with his rounding up.

I would say " i should have studied harder." But I think he went hard on us to bring the average down.

I also just took the exam 3 for MKT 701, which I studied extremely hard for and I thought I knew most of the answers before I hit submit. Ended up with a 15 out of 25.

I am extremely disappointed that this will be my first class I get a B in because he doesn't test on any of the material he gave us. My grade for the discussions and papers were all A's.

I am taking the final tomorrow. My goal is to understand how to workout all the problems from the practice exam which were pretty similar to the assessments

It is so disappointing. My evaluation of the course included the shortcomings we all faced.

Your post makes me feel a little better--I have no background in accounting or finance. I didn't do well on the final but did fine on the assessments/etc so ended up with a B which I am happy with.

I truly feel like he made the final purposely misleading and harder than necessary because the class average was too high. So frustrating, but I'll take my B and be done!!

I had a 95% going into it, got a 75% on the final. There's just not a lot of room for error so I ended up about 20 pts short of an A, even with his rounding up. Oh well. It's done and now I won't have to think about accounting again!

Macy87 - same here... I'm going through the slides and cannot figure out where I went wrong... Many of the questions were not addressed in the slide content.

That’s awesome, glad it’s done and you pulled a B! Glad the class is over - the material is easy to comprehend and I use most of it in my day to day job - he just tests in a way to purposely confuse you. Silly, but it’s done -congrats! I would have definitely made a C or worse without my background

Glinda-Same exact for me. went in with about a 94. Got a C on the exam, Now I have a B average.

I didnt want to use a "B" on what I thought would be a straightforward class. I have no doubt there will be other classes that are harder.

Yes we are done, but I really don't know what Ive learned at this point. Do I have a grasp of accounting? Or am I just a really good multiple choice guesser?

I made a “c” in the class. MKT 701 with Darratl Aadel is pathetic. I took him so I wouldn’t have to write a 20 page paper. That was a mistake.

Either way, I am done. I suppose I can live with a “C”. Everyone in the class should write an email to the director of the MBA program about his tests- save future students. I learned nothing in that class.

It was tough but very manageable.

I’ve kept my templates and was able to use those in the exam...

Remember, it’s all open book- including excel. Only thing NOT accessible is the internet.
