That test was slightly better than the last one. My writings have received substantially better grades though. Have you guys heard if Williams uses a weighted grade system for MADM 701? I'm assuming, and hoping, that she doesn't because its not mentioned in the syllabus.

Not sure about the weighted grade system. I'm extremely ready for this class to be over with, my least favorite class so far (only my 6th class). I think it could be a better class with a different teacher, but it just seems that the Williams has a poor attitude towards her students, teaching assistants are not consistent with grading, and assignment instructions are as clear as mud. I hope next week's assignment is not 7,000,000 words worth of writing.

Looking forwards to Vines FIN 701 in the spring, only 4 tests and no busy work!

I'm with you in hoping FIN 701 with Vines is a breath of fresh air from the tons of writing we've had in MADM 701.

Thanks for sharing that this is your least enjoyable class out of the 6 you've taken so far. This is my second class and it will be nice to have in the rear view mirror.

My first class was MKT 701 with James. I actually liked her and the class but the two papers assigned were A LOT of writing.

I have a feeling the first two class I took - MKT 701 & MADM 701 - are the ones most heavy on the writing. I've graded well with the writing but it's just time consuming. Am I right to think that the rest of the core classes are less writing?

Has anyone taken MADM 710 with Kungu? I am curious about the work load. I am taking planning on pairing that with FIN 701.

Nice to have submitted my last writing assignment last night and finished the final quiz a few minutes ago for MADM 701. Two classes down and eight to go. Next class will be FIN 701 with Vines in January.

Well, I told everyone I'd report back after doubling up with Econ 705 & MADM 720. Made it out alive with an A in Econ and still awaiting final grading from Mabry but will either just make an A or finish with a B. It's an exhaustive combination to take at the same time but doable. Instead of 7 weeks, it seemed like 7 months. Ecstatic to have them in the rear view mirror and looking forward to this much needed break. Will be doubling with MADM 701 & FIN 720 Spring AP1.

Great job, 9BREES9! I'm sure it feels great to have them in the rearview mirror. I'm thinking of combining ECON 705 something in Spring AP2.

How demanding is ECON 705? Lot's of busy work? Reading? Writing? Just trying to get a sense of it. Thanks.

Head's up on MADM 701 I just finished. Lots of writing. Not hard but time intensive. Just write more than the minimum word count.

I appreciate it and likewise on your 701 grade! If you rely on the professor to help, Dr. S will not do it....at all. In 705, you get 2 attempts on all quizzes so you should pull a 100% on that. The end of module assessments are the big thing. They count for 60% of your final grade. He holds 3 zoom meetings a week to "discuss" the module, yet when someone would ask for help on a problem, he jumps around by not wanting to give the answer away. If you haven't taken Meeks for MADM 760 yet, I would pair that with 705.

So 760 is not time demanding? Easier than most core classes?

I didn't find it anywhere near as time consuming as 720. Meeks is a great professor. You'll enjoy the course if you take it.

How do you already have your grades for MADM 701? I don't see them posted yet.

I haven't seen the grades yet. I guess I shouldn't post that yet. I'm assuming an A as I only need to earn 65‰ on the remaining writing assignments for Modules 6 and 7.

9BREES9, I haven't taken 720 yet. But I've heard great things about Meeks.

I've also heard Vines is great.

Nice job guys! I finished MADM 701 last night. I think I will come away with an A. I appreciate the info for the other classes as well. I'm signed up for FIN 701 with Vines and MADM 760 with Meeks in the spring semester.

Winchester, I'll be in FIN 701 with you. FYI, if you want to save big money on the text, search for a used copy of the 14th edition. Vines lists the 15th edition but i emailed him and he told me 14th edition is very similar and fine to use. It's way cheaper on the used market. I picked up a copy for $31 on ebay. Even used, the 15th edition is $140 and up.

Wow thanks for the heads up! Do you know if a different online program besides Moodle is used? I'm wondering if we will need to buy access to an online program in addition to the physical book.
