MKT701 Havent even thought about that final application yet. Gonna have to start that late tomorrow night after finishing part 2.

I don't know how some of these people in the course are still having questions / asking for custom spreadsheets. I literally don't care at all and just throwing something together. Probably not the best mindset to have but mentally I've just been checked out for weeks in that course. Just nothing but unorganized busy work she just overwhelms students with.

Agree 100% ....DO NOT give up! She's not going anywhere and you're very very unlikely to have another option but her in taking the course. Just bear her unrealistic project timeframe nonsense.

I just completed the draft of my project part 2. I should put a few hours into it tomorrow double checking that I answered everything sufficiently and cleaning up the paper. We'll see if I find the energy or if I just turn it in. I'm sitting right at 20 pages of BS, so I don't have to edit it like part 1.

Next up is studying for this weeks quiz and writing the final application assignment.

At least this is about it for the class. I doubt I'll bother taking the last quiz and there are something like 10 easy points by taking surveys or something next week.

Just finished taking Mod 6 quiz in MKT701. Straight forward like the others. I won't be looking/doing Module 7. I'll look at it down the road when I'm not so burnt out on MKT.

As unrealistic as these projects were in these time frames IMO, her readings/quizzes were well put together and reviewed.

I agree! I just took the quiz and it wasn't bad. All in all the readings were fine and her tests are easy in comparison to other teachers.

My only beef with this class is the absolutely unreasonable project. There was no call for that much busy work in comparison to every other class in the program.

Amen to that! Best of luck to those of you closing out this last week of class and especially everyone finishing up the program! It's been quite a ride, but I can't say I am upset about being finished!

Congrats, Jeaux! I'm going to miss seeing you contribute to this thread but I'm happy for you (and jealous). I have 2 classes remaining, ISDS 702 and MKT 701, and then I'm done too. I can nearly see the light.

Fair warning to anyone taking the ACCT701 Week 7 Assessment this morning:

The text for the answers is completely messed up. No idea based on formatting and indenting what the right or wrong answers are. It's a total disaster. Watch the course content forum to see if this gets fixed before taking.

For finance concentration does anybody know which are the most time consuming courses?

From the forum I was able to get below information
ECON 705, MADM 701, MADM 760, MKT 701

Also, I am thinking to combine MADM 760 with ISDS 705.. any thoughts on this?

Pretty sure this was asked recently. If not this pairing specifically, a pairing that included ISDS 705. Scroll back a few pages and read through.

Curious to hear feedback on anyone who takes the ISDS 710 final...

30 T/F and multiple choice questions. A lot of pressure on an exam that counts for 1/3rd of the entire grade after all of the reading, writing, and homework that has been done the last 6 weeks. Open book and excel sure makes me feel better, but there is always fear of the unknown.

Man, thanks for the heads up, its already a jammed packed stressful week w/o a debacle like that.

I'm sure McGee will give one of her canned responses like "we don't talk about assessments before the week is closed"

People are already throwing up questions about the practice final which means they had to have made it past the assessment but no comments on that so far.

Were you guys able to complete the assessment given all these formatting issues? Did you email McGee?

EDIT: There is a thread currently running int he course content forum where multiple people said they've run into issues. McGee chimed in and said they should be running chrome or firefox only. When the OP said yes, she went dark...

@Jeaux

I remember you going through ISDS 702 with Ahmet Koksal, right? Would you recommend taking this class? Thanks in advance.

My other option is Finance 710 (Contemporary Investments) with Chengo Hsieh.

I thought the class was somewhat interesting, but thought Koksal was a terrible instructor. If you are not doing Data Analytics, I don't think I would recommend it. We would have homework problems/assignments that were supposed to prepare us for the exam that were fairly simple, but come exam time, the problems would look nothing like the ones we practiced during the week. He is very intelligent and knows his stuff, but struggles to break the material down and teach it.

Thank you. Have you taken Finance 710?

Also, a while back we talked about MKT 705 and you mentioned that you enjoyed it. I have it scheduled for Fall AP1 with Minsun Kim, is that who you took it with?

Jeaux, I'm taking this class next with Koksal. Do you have any documents from the class that you can share with me via Google Docs or my email? Syllabus? The textbook? The assignments? (Not solved, of course.) etc..

I'm a bit concerned with the class after your comments and would like to get a little bit of a head start during the break if possible.

I wish I could help, but I don't have any of it saved. There was no textbook. There were power points that went along with his lecture videos.

If it helps, the Acct701 Final appears to be ok to take, no formatting issues there.
