MKT701
The reading isn't bad, but there sure is a lot of fiddly stuff here. A quiz on proctorio, the syllabus, and the real material? Extra credit dropped on a Wednesday, but due on Sunday.
It feels like this class is the professor's stream of consciousness.

mtntreks have you taken the exam yet?
I'll take any extra credit opportunity she gives me.

Were the questions pretty basic and allow time to look information up for ACCT 701?

Thank you jwilliams339. The work load doesn't seem to be as bad as I thought it would be. Good luck

mtntreks have you taken the exam yet? A co-worker of mine who took marketing in spring AP1 said the exams were relatively easy and most of the qustions came straight from the her text as opposed to the supplemental readings and videos. I know thats mostly relative but its just FYI.

Working my way through things a bit at a time. The proctorio quiz was a joke, and I'm hoping the syllabus quiz (which I'll take this evening) is just as easy. I hope the tests really are mainly on the primary information. The material seems straight forward enough.
I'll do the extra credit and take anything else she throws at us. It just feels like a disjointed start. I may just have senioritis, as I'm ready to be done with this course and graduate.

Agreed on the disjointed start. My co-worker said she re-organized the class on week 5 the last time she taught it. Hopefully it goes a bit smoother for us.

Has anyone taken the MADM 701 weekly exam yet? Reading Chapter 1 was brutal, but Chapter 2 was much better. Plan on submitting my discussion post tomorrow evening.

was just wondering the same thing. Chapter 1 was not a smooth read but 2 went fine. I'm going to work on the discussion post tonight and then push the test until after the module assignment.
I still have to start reading the text for ISDS 710. That discussion is due tomorrow. Plus the case study and homework to do. There will be some late nights the rest of this week(end).

OMG thanks for the heads up about chapter 2, because chapter 1 I agree it’s terrible! Still chucking through it..

Acct 701 McGee people who have already taken exam and/or quiz...
how are you already through the material to feel confident enough to take the exam? I am still on chapter 2 and really haven't worked through the practice problems like I think I should. I'm reading, and pecking my way through but it still seems to be a foreign language that i vaguely remember from undergrad. Study tips desperately needed

The quiz and assessment were very easy for me. As long as you have read chapters 1,2 and 6 with a general understanding, you will do fine.

quote:I took the quiz and assessment on Wednesday. I didn't read/review the practice questions at the end of the chapters but, I read and re-read the objectives, looked up youtube videos for parts I didn't understand and I listen to an accounting podcast on the way to work which is 2 hours per day. I missed 1 question on the quiz and 1 question on the assessment. Perhaps I would have made a 100% if I did the practice questions at the end of the chapters. I didn't even use my notes for the quiz or assessment. Good luck

What is the link for the podcast your listening to for accounting? I think that’s a great asset

I was informed I still have some GI BIll benefits that may cover grad school depending on the school.
Take with a grain of salt because this is just my opinion and everyone's situation differs...
I'd recommend against using GI Bill for LSUS MBA (especially if you are doing it all online). Arguably the biggest benefits of LSUS MBA are a combination of:
1) Price - You'll be hard-pressed to find an accredited MBA for $12K.
2) Accreditation - AACSB is the gold standard that not every school has.
3) Time - If you are extremely dedicated or not working a full-time job, you can finish this up in a year or less. Slow and steady still finishes the program quickly.
The combination of those three factors is what drew me to the program. If any of them are missing, I don't take LSUS.
If the price is not an issue, you can easily find better AACSB programs that have similar timelines. Your GI Bill will pay 100% of almost any degree out there - it works on time more than cost... so why use that amazing benefit on the cheapest option around? Find a better program that allows you to finish in a timeline that fits your remaining GI benefits. For your corporate side, schools like UNC Kenan-Flagler (one of the very top business schools in the country and can also be all online) almost guarantee much higher salary offers vs. LSUS checks the box so you can say "I have an MBA." For your entrepreneurial side, you have a very vested interest in getting the absolute best education you can; it's not just about a paper at the end. So once again your GI Bill pays for the best schools and programs -- don't waste it on a program that uses price as its biggest draw.
One last thing, remember that taking at least one on-site class per term significantly increases your housing allowance income while in class.
